Crochet Pattern Tutorial: Ice Fisherman's Stretchy Neck Warmer

This super easy make was an idea of my Dad's. He owns a small bait shop in Illinois and wanted a stretchy neck warmer for the ice fishermen and this is what we came up with! Because of how stretchy the fabric is it will fit a nice range of people from preteen, teens, women & men.

l dont understand l chain 45 its doesnt measure 20 inch

Hi, I'm not sure if you are measuring bigger or smaller than 20" but you can try adding or subtracting from the chain in multiples of 2 until you do have the 20" measurement.

could i use 2 yarn strands of normal size yarn? in the event I cannot get chunky yarn?

You definitely could give it a try. I checked the WPI for you and you should get 10 wraps per inch. You can also work up your chain and adjust it for a good fit. Just make sure your chain is an odd number of chains.
