In this video I'll show you how to make the Sunburst granny square based on the original design by Priscilla Hewitt.
This video uses UK crochet terms and assumes you already know how to crochet the basic stitches
US conversion
UK double crochet = US single crochet
UK treble crochet = US double crochet
UK half treble crochet = US half double crochet
UK double treble crochet = US triple crochet

Quick question. You say in the video to not add the white border around the circle yet if I’m doing the continuous join. But in your blog and fb pictures, the sunburst squares are shown with the white and laid out before you join. Can you clarify? :) thank you!

It depends which continuous join method you choose to do. I have two different methods so far shown on my You Tube channel. One is done on the fourth round as I have done with this blanket. The other is done using dcs on the fifth round as I have done with the other blanket

Dear Faye, may I ask you something? I'm from Germany, maybe I won't find the correct words but: How do you choose the order of your colours? Each square seems to be different, you did you do that? They never seem to be equal, it's just beautiful and I also want this for my coming sunburst project. Please let me know the secret. 🌸💜🌷
