Hi guys! This time a tutorial that you can use for many different purposes. I enjoyed making a placemat that I can use as a background for my tutorials, but you can also use the pattern for coasters, as a table decoration or even as a rug. The result can be used on both sides, choose which one you like best or alternate. With a different yarn it gives a completely different result, so here too you can vary endlessly. Pick the hook size recommended by the yarn and you are good to go.
I used 175 grams of jute twine, about 75 meters or 82 yards and a 6 mm J/10 crochet hook for the placemat and about 25 grams of cotton yarn and a 4 mm crochet hook.
The pattern is in US terms.
