I did the math, if you want to use a heavier yarn and a bigger hook, just -12 to the original starting chain. Similarly, if you want to use a smaller hook just +12 to the starting chain

wonderful pattern and awesome effect especially when combining normal yarn with variegated yarn but hoooly shit, its taking ages. having to constantly switch colours and constantly doubting my counting is a complete pain in the ass. but frankly I'm a complete beginner and she said this is an intermediate stitch so all things considered its still a pretty easy process. if you are a beginner you should 100% try it! its actually easy, just takes a long time

thank you ☺️ for 2 colours i recommend approx. 40-50g each, i had 100g of each colour which was more than enough !

feel free to test using the same pattern, depending on tension, you might find it’s okay ! otherwise, start with a longer starting chain so there’s an extra increase / decrease ☺️

do you know if i should make any specific changes to the pattern if i want to make it with weigh 4 yarn and a 5mm hook?

i would recommend working to the same measurements as the panel needed for your size (11:15) also maybe changing the colour every row, depending on how wide you’d prefer the stripes ☺️
