My son had an accident recently. We just spent 9 days in the burn unit at Riley children’s hospital. I’m using this pattern to make nurse bears for all the nurses and physical therapists we had over that time. Thank you for this set of videos. It’s been very helpful
Nightcore lover look up knit grit on youtube and click on their bee video and they show you how to do it :) trust me it seems very tricky but practicing is key x
I've had to improvise this pattern. The written pattern seems to be missing rows in the body. (I always make a prototype when using an unfamiliar pattern.) Cute bear...but I wish I had known (before purchasing so much yarn/etc for multiple++++ bears) that this is far off the pattern im used to.
I have such a hard time with starting the magic ring. How you just showed it is absolutely amazing. It is so easy. Thank you so much. Plus your tutorials are easy to follow. I have been crocheting for around 6 months it is a major part in my recovery, and I will be making this bear for the ppl. who have been helping me through this. Many thanks
I'm just beginning to learn how to crochet from your videos and i love how you explain every stitch you make. It's very helpful and i really appreciate the effort you put into your videos. Thank you!
I like how you made this video very detailed. It is a really good video for beginners. I remember when I started this I couldn’t find anything like this on RU-vid
I'm gonna come back to this when I get everything I need. I plan on making about 3 or 4 of these, but make it look like a grateful dead bear with wings and a halo, and add a rainbow behind it. Lost someone to cancer this morning 😔
Excited to get started on the wedding pair of bears. These two are going to make a beautiful gift topper. Again thank you so much for tutorial and pattern!💓💗💖👍👏😁
Your videos have literally been a god send. You break it down so well, it makes it super easy to follow! Thank you so much for these! I didn't know if I would be able to learn a new hobby until I found your blog!!
Hi! I used your written pattern all the way through, and let me tell you, it was so easy to follow along I was able to use just the written pattern with ease! However, I used rubber bands instead of yarn (loomigurumi as coined by the rainbow loom community) Turned out so adorable!
@@SharonOjalaI'm actually almost done I'm just finishing up the arms and then I have the ears and the tail and then sewing it on. I didn't have eyes so I Stitched some in with black yarn and I think it looks cute.
Yeah i used to think that aswell so heres some advice first start with a star then make a mushroom and them make an octopus plushie and then try something new❤❤
I just wanted to say thankyou so much for this pattern,I am new to crocheting and I have just finished the bear, you're tutorials are brilliant and so easy to understand.Thankyou
I am a beginner and all the crochet projects I've done till now have never been amazing but, omg this is has turned out so cute!! Super easy to follow your instructions. You explain SO well!! Thank you for such detailed videos
Thanks so much. My first stuffed animal and you made it very easy. I made 5 to use on my grandaughters crib mobile. Do you have a video or pattern for a large bear?
I have a question before I start, about how long did it take you? And about how long do you think it would take for a beginner?amazing tutorial btw!❤️☺️
hey I want u to know something I'm a beginner and I started with your video... while I was messing around trying to do this slip knot I made something that works exactly like a magic circle... but its a knot like a slip knot. only difference is that u can extend it from that tail u get when u make the magic circle. I want to ask am I the first who discovered this loop that acts like a magic circle or not XD?
Omg, I've watched 3 seperate videos and I still can't seem to get the "magic" loop to work. The closest I came was 6 stiches and when I pulled to make it tighter, I had a massive loop I couldn't get rid of. Instead of the flat muzzle, what would you recommend to make it stick out just a bit?
to make it stick out add a row of single crochets when you're finished row 2. For the magic loop, have you watched both my magic loop videos? There's 2 different methods to get it. I have them both on one page on my blog here www.amigurumitogo.com/p/youtube.html
Hi. Can someone help me out. I am an absolute beginner to crochet and all I know is a few basic stitches. Would this project be suitable for me to try out now? Or should I go practice something else first?
Well this is a very good and detailed tutorial so even if you are an absolute beginner you will be able to do it so just believe in yourself and try plus nothing will happen if you didnt succeed from the beginning ;)
Sruthi Surendra , she is detailed enough that you can do it. Just take your time. You may have to pause rewind but I did it and I have only made very few blankets. She is sooooo good and helpful and explains so well. She will teach you so much. Love her videos.
Instead of making a magic circle like she did, you can make a simple chain. With the yarn, create a slip knot on the end and put the loop on the rod part your crochet hook, below the hook. Make a chain by wrapping yarn around the hook once and pulling through the loop below the wrapped yarn. Now you should have a new loop on your hook and you repeat the process. For this bear, the magic circle had 6 stiches, so make a chaing eith 6 stiches (pull under the loop 6 times. Now you have what looks like a chain. You can count to make sure that you have six stiches by counting the v's. Create the circle by inserting your hook into the v that is furthest away from your hook, so the first one you made. The hook should be underneath both sides of the v so it looks like there are two loops close together on your hook. Next, wrap the yarn around the hook and pull under all 3 of the loops. This is a different way of creating the magic circle, and it doesnt require pulling the circle tight. Good luck eith your bear! 🐻
What would happen if I used a chunky yarn for this? I just bought this beautiful go for faux lion brand yarn and thought a bear would look beautiful made from it
I’m not sure if anyone knows but how much yarn is needed to make this? I only have 50g of brown yarn and I wasn’t sure if that was enough to make this. :)
no, there's different methods. Look on youtube for the ch2 method.. I have a separate video that shows how to do that as well. The magic ring will give you the neatest start though. Once you get the hang of it, you won't mind using it. It takes a bit of practice. Most amigurumi dolls start this way.
You can just use a smaller crochet hook that’s what I do if I can’t find my yarn needle it takes a little bit longer but you’ll get the hang of it fast
@@caitlin1874 😁😉 no hate babes! im a lazy typer! and plus i am a bit dyslexic so yh i cant write good...anyway i hope your Wednesday is a gooden sweet! ☺💜
Seems like a long shot since this video was posted 3 years ago, but I’m having trouble on rows 5-9. I don’t understand why the number of stitches increases even though I try to stitch into every one of the 24 stitches. I’m not sure how to fix it, I hope someone can help. Thanks!
make sure u count and if theres still to many do some decreases. i often have the same problem and when i do this it usually looks fine. hope this helps!
I replied in another comment so for anyone else reading, there's an intro video to the playlist that has the supplies list. There's a written pattern as well with a supplies list.
Sound like! yoy didn't do the magic ring quite right, or maybe you got a knot in your yarn somewhere. Watch her do the magic circle again and have another go. There are loads of other videos on here which show the magic circle/ring. It seemed to me that everyone has a slightly different way of doing it, just check out some of the other videos and you will get there. I taught myself to crochet from a book and I only ever heard of the magic ring/circle on you tube, just keep trying, it will be fine! Good luck
Every now and again it happens with the double loop magic ring. It's still my favorite method of the ring and I would encourage you to try again. With practice it gets easier. If it gives you too much trouble and it's just frustrating then try the single loop. I have a video for that too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2kX9O21KBE8.html And like Elizabeth said, there's many videos for the ring out there, another method of teaching might make it easier for you as well.. I wish you all the best!
Hi, I'm not sure which thread thickness to choose, ~2mm, 5ply or ~3mm 8 ply pls help. I got a 10mm safety eye so I'm afraid the end product will not be size proportional.
Zedgod you can use any size as long as you use the appropriate hook for it. I used worsted weight yarn. If you are in the UK that is Aran weight. Here in Canada I use Red Heart Super Saver or Red Heart Comfort yarn. You can do a google search to see the details of weight and ply on those 2 yarns and compare what you have. The thicker the yarn the bigger the doll.
If you were following the video to make the bear, at the end I say it's the end of part 1, go to part 2 and part 2 pops up on the screen, you just have to click it. Or go to the playlist where all the videos for this bear are listed, that link is in the description box of the video or go to the written pattern, link also in the description box.
the introduction video gives you that info and the written pattern has the supplies list. I've explained where to get both at the beginning of this video. Links pop up on the screen and links are also in the description box of all my videos. Here's the link to the written pattern www.amigurumitogo.com/2018/05/crochet-mini-bears.html
Hi Sharon, I really love all of the produces you do. I'm a student and i want to earn money to help my family. You don't mind if i crochet all the things you teach on youtube and then I sell it for my friends and the people in Việt Nam?
Are the safety eyes a chocking hazard for babies? I'm making this bear for a baby less than 6 months. I'm wondering if I should use black yarn for the eyes. Any advice?
Hi there, thanks for asking. I do believe safety eyes are considered a choking hazard, factory made toys usually carry a warning about them. I never recommend handmade toys for babies or children still in the choking stage. Everything about a handmade toy could potentially become a choking hazard. I'm not sure who you could ask about that but I don't have any advice other than what I just told you.
for sure. Please don't be afraid to make amigurumi though. I never ever want something bad to happen so it's better safe than sorry. If they are displayed on a shelf until baby is old enough, that makes a great gift too. Just an idea :)
Ok. I tried to print pattern by following the link that says written pattern here. When I go to that site to print I got 10 blank pages that said Amigurumi to go! No instructions. What did I do wrong? I was looking at the page of instructions .
Me too I click the link to the written pattern and it’s never there. Other crochet you-tubers have the same link and I always get the same page with nothing on it but two links to a sewing page that requires you sign up.
the print friendly service is free to everyone online, it's not my service and I have no idea how to fix issues with it. I provide a link to it as many people find it helpful to them. I do have a link to another blog post I put up with photos to walk you through how to use the print friendly service , it's a step by step with arrows and highlight. Other than what I've provided for you, there's nothing more I can do. I do, however, have copy enabled on my blog. You can highlight the text you want to copy and paste it into any program you use such as notes or word. Before you try copy and paste, try this page, scroll slowly and look at the photos I have provided, maybe they will help you with the print friendly service. www.amigurumitogo.com/2019/05/how-to-add-print-option-to-blogger-posts.html
if you see something about sewing (ad) on my blog that doesn't have anything to do with the crocheted pattern you're looking for, I think you are not scrolling down the page far enough. You have to scroll past the 2 ads at the top of my blog, the patterns are always there but just further down the page. Scroll slowly so you don't miss important info about my patterns.. each page has information to help you with the pattern before the actual pattern starts.
