@@fenners1 No, but I have four other pairs of boots and a dozen or so pairs of high-quality shoes, and I don’t wear the same pair two days running. Also, for rough going, I wear Brasher boots, which saves my other footwear from wear and tear. I sent the Conistons back to Crockett and Jones late last year to be re-soled and heeled, and I also have had the pair of Church’s Masterclass shoes, which I must have bought around 30 years ago, re-soled and heeled for the first time recently, and they have leather soles. I guess that I’m not that hard on footwear!
Congrats on the new pair. Few different ways to tie but up to personal preference really. For example Daniel Craig wraps his laces around the ankle of the boot to shorten the laces. I prefer to just tie like regular shoes so I don’t mark the leather.
I’d say you can get away with both for these. Usually I’d think of dress shoes as black but with these you can wear with jeans but also with something like brown chinos or smart trousers/shirt etc.
Ive actually got a pair of both, coinston and the Jones version. Theyre nice but i can tell why the Coinston is priced higher. One thing I've learned in life is you always get what you pay for when it comes to stuff like this
Agreeded. Iv over 10 pairs of boots. Put simply. You get what you pay for. Iv a pair of conistons in tan. Prob my best boot overall. And the most expensive. Iv paul sargent cambridge and holdtons which are just behind along with tricker stows. All are excellent and near enough the same in price.
@@MrNegroni I love looking at shoe porn as I call it. My price range is a bit lower. At the moment I'm just wearing Timberland chukka boots. Their classic 6 inch boots are not as good as they were about 8 years ago. My generation were spoiled for choice for mid range priced footwear 20 years ago, with brands like Rockport and Timberland. They're not the same now.
