Using minute steaks, cube steaks, or tenderized round steak (cut into small steaks), coat steaks with flour (seasoned with salt & pepper). Brown steaks in vegetable oil, remove from pan. In a saucepan, add 1 packet beef gravy mix to about 1 1/2 cups beef broth and mix. In crockpot, put 1 sliced onion, then about 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms, the browned steaks, then pour in the beef broth gravy/sauce. Cook on high 2-3 hours or low 5-6 hours. If the gravy isn’t thick enough, make a corn starch slurry using 1/4 cup corn starch with 1/2 cup of the broth, then add to the crockpot. Cook an additional 30-60 minutes.
