I had a round steak and found this recipe ..turned out really good.. but I shredded the meat when done.. added some cooked wide egg noodles.. turned heat off then added sour cream.. wonderful beef stroganoff.. I browned my meat first in a separate skillet then added to crock pot ..it added more flavor.. thanks again

You could use cream of chicken, cream of celery. I also added a can of French onion soup. For me I love using a green pepper in it, mom taught me that brings it up a notch.
The slow cooking nature of the crockpot can make almost anything tender. It would be hard to catch a steak at the right point where it doesn’t just crumble, but it could certainly be tried!
