My man Why's that Valve apart Hmmmmm? are slowly drifting to the Darkside Heh Heh Heh. just Joking. you vid on the stuck BB in the spring saved me thanks.
Do you think it could be possible to change the outer plastic "shell" to metal one? Maybe if take an airsoft M4/AR metal mag and use it's metal "shell"?
I wouldn't say impossible, but you'll have to keep in mind it has to lock into the magwell all the way with no wobble. This would be the only thing that would prevent you from firing after the mod. Other then that it's just a matter of figuring how you will load co2 and how to affix the shell to the mag. Always love hearing about projects going on out there xD good luck!
I just got my son the ST1 for Christmas. The mag keeps falling out. The minute he was done assembling it and picked it up it fell out. I finally had time to look at it this morning and the bolt catch doesn’t seem to be catching the magazine follower…if you flip the mag back and forth the latch goes up and down with it. I don’t see how it can engage latch like that? Do you have any advice on how to fix that? I don’t want to send it in and go thru the hassle. Plus the magazine has a few scratches now from it out. I don’t want them to deny an exchange bc of the damage….even tho the damage happened bc of their faulty magazine. I understand taking it apart voids the warranty. Thank you for your videos! You help single moms like me that are also dads! 💪🏼
Hmm, I'm assuming you mean the magazine catch doesn't stay "clicked in"? The bolt catch should behave as you describe if the magazine is empty but it shouldn't prevent you from inserting an empty mag all the way. Sorry the st1 is the only model I haven't picked up (major replica / AR simp here lol). I'm not 100% sure on the mechanisms but there should be a magazine catch and a bolt catch. The first thing I would do is field strip it and double check everything is in order. Couple questions.. Does the magazine have co2 in it? And have you verified the bolt catch mechanism with the mag loaded and unloaded to make sure it works properly? I'll see what I can find online, hopefully we can figure this out.
@@RWMAirgunsmithing it was an incredibly easy fix and I feel incredibly silly lol thank you for your reply! We’ll be watching your videos a ton now that my boys are into airsoft ♥️
These mags are a pain to load because they don't have a spring catch notch to hold the spring down while you load. The special speed loader that comes with it is crap also. Do you think it would be possible to cut a notch in one ? TY
Yeap, it would be indeed possible. The newer generation of mags does have a notch and it totally looks doable, lemme figure out an easy way and the right tool to get it done and ill make a video. If you check out pictures on google you can see the notch on some of the pictures. Its completely at the bottom of the slot and on the right.
Thank's for your reply and I'm looking forward to that video. I'd like to buy the new generation one but how to make sure I get one with a notch ? Appreciated, TY @@RWMAirgunsmithing
@@TheHeat55 they should be becoming more rare unless you land on a shop that hoarded inventory. Only way really is to open the box and check, when I get home I'll see if the pictures on the boxes changed.
Thank's a million man ! I ordered one today and called them to make sure the mag was one of the new ones with a spring catch. But I sure wouldn't mind knowing how to cut a catch on my other mags. I'm pretty sure there are thousands of DPMS SBR owners that would love to know how to do this also. I appreciate you my friend. TY 🙂@@RWMAirgunsmithing
My cartridge works fine it just doesn’t close properly anybody know how I can fix that? U can see the metal on the left side once it’s clipped on but functions how it should
Do you mean the plastic cover? Sometimes when I clip it fast it goes in crooked or the small hex key sometimes gets in the way. It should go on, does it clip properly when there's no co2 or hex key?
So the blowback is purely there to imitate a bolt moving and and completely useless for semi auto only rifles like UK given it has nothing to do with actually chambering a BB and no lo ger required to trip the auto sear. Seems over complicated to me
@@rnichol22 not exactly, the BCG houses the 'hammer' which is released by the sear when the trigger is pulled. I guess technically if you pull the charging handle for each shot then you don't need blowback but that wouldn't be semi-auto. (The full auto is controlled mechanically by the disconnector, not the sear) I will agree you could call this complicated but I would argue it is an ingenious design that manages to replicate with almost 100% accuracy the function of a real AR while almost maintaining milspec design on the inside. Hehe. It's like an open-bolt/striker/hammer fired airgun all in one xD
Dude yes! It looks amazing! And it seems to replicate real functions AND field stripping capability. I've been eyeballing it at pyramydair since this morning lol
@@joseglenn20 pyramid air has the owners manual as pdf, it really does look like blowback and complete replica functions. Ŕight now just hesitant to order one and have it cross the border... Edit : almost hate to say it but it might beat the crosman in terms of replica functions... considering its a sig and not a "traditional" AR
@@RWMAirgunsmithing you'll get Because you'll go nuts thinking about . as for me I just paid all my bills for the Month. it's going to be Late March till I get one.
