Over 18,000 cases of stalking was registered between 2014 & 2017.
4 out of 5 women faced some form of harassment or violence in public in India.
92% women faced some form of sexual violence in public spaces in their lifetimes.
This seven-minute long film addresses employers’ responsibility in supporting women employees’ wellbeing by creating an environment where they can discuss & find solutions to problems of sexual harassment in public spaces.
While organizations do not have a legal binding to support women undergoing harassment outside of working hours, they have a responsibility towards supporting the wellbeing of their employees. If organizations have to maintain their position as equal opportunity employers, they have to address the issues affecting 50% of their workforce.
The film interviews women who share their own stories of harassment. These women hail from diverse job roles, across various industries. In the film, we have also interviewed other stakeholders including HR managers & business owners to understand measures that their organization is already taking to make their workspace safer for women.
While HR policies is one the aspects that the movie aims to question, another important aspect that we try to bring out is the culture that the organization creates to encourage conversation which would lead to a supportive environment for all women employees.
