I am not particularly a political person& it is great to have spaces where you can just be you. But I also think saying it is both sides is equivocating. The anti trans actions are serious and real and they cant be disnissed. It is one thing to believe something, it is another to actively pour hate &make laws to hurt ppl. Is their overreach? I think so, yes, I have problems with some of the ways trans kids are being addressed,there are questions about parental rights, questions about the protocol in treating kids, in terms of how to make sure the kid is trans,etc. That said the response is using trans kids to spur hate. Same with bwthroom bills and the like.some if the laws are so broad that a crossdresser in Tennessee could be arrested for being dressed in public if kids are around. Beliefs are one thing, spurring hate is wnother. Thanks to DeSantis, adult trans ppl are having trouble getting medical care bc of the idiotic laws he passed. If they really cared about trans kids, they would ask the state medical board to come up with diagnostic protocols& tteatment methods, not ban it&criminalize care.
I don't disagree with any of that. But the Left has their share of the blame for all the backlash but shoving their skewed view of a Trans Agenda down the throats of people in such a hamfisted an moronic manner that they knew the Right would respond like this. We're nothing but pawns in their big political shooting match all just to hold on to power, while we become targets and suffer. Neither side gives a shit about us, don't let what the current administration is doing fool you into thinking so.
