He was probably closer to 38 or 39 when he filmed it. Most films take at least a year to a year and a half to come out after initial filming because of editing, special effects, and advertising.

The only limitation of the time was his face, couldn’t be that expressive other than move his eyes. But playing the ghostbusters game on ps3 the first /second level is you fighting stay puff. And they really make him come to life he grimaced at the player, he smiles when he hits you, and when he’s about to fall off the building he looks worried. That game is the true 3rd sequel to ghostbusters, afterlife can be the 4th and its sequel the 5th.

It really was kinda life or death in this scene and if you saw this for the first time, you weren't quite certain that they would survive. You don't get that level of tension from the other movies.

There’s plenty of movies with high tension. The latest one was The a Batman for me. This Batman was young and made mistakes. He was no way near over the top like Christopher Nolan so you didn’t know if he was going to win or not. Now a movie in the past decade? For me personally it’s between Fury or 1917.

This scene is so incredibly powerful not just because of well gozer but because of the fact that through our the movie the audience was pretty much told crossing the streams is a horrible horrible idea but In this case they had too and it is awesome because of it but also shows how powerful gozer is

There are ghosts and then there are eldritch interdimensional destroyer-gods of unfathomable power who have destroyed two realities that you know about (the Meketrix and Vuldranii) and probably thousands more. I think you can be excused for being afraid of the second one, even when it’s newly manifested a big candy man and only at the merest fraction of its power.

Apparently at 1:26, Egon was originally supposed to yell “OH FUCK!” but they decided against it because PG-13 didn’t exist as a rating yet, and they didn’t want to put an R rating on the film. XD

I always wondered why the dogs did absolutely nothing the last 5 minutes they were on screen. As the busters were shooting at Gozer in Slavitza Jovan form, they did nothing. As Stay Puft was climbing the building, they did nothing. As the busters crossed the streams, they did nothing. At least in Afterlife they were a BIT more active but still....that's just lazyness by Vince & Zuul

I'm just now noticing this, but at 4:57 if you look closely at the boys and their streams, it looks like they're trying to pull their streams away, but they aren't. It's a ball of energy forming, and when they do pill away, you'll notice a bright ball of energy shoot towards the gate and as soon as it hit, it exploded.

I noticed that as well, that's really when they cross the streams... that ball forming and being released is what caused the explosion. Also it seems that 'crossing the streams' actually only occurs...when the streams are crossed all the way to the tip of the proton guns not when the two beams cross period. If that was the case, it would have gone kablooie when Peter and Ray crossed their beams.

@@maskedhero6425 Well, Peter Ray and Winston tried to cross the streams again, but Gozer broke free by uncrossing the streams, then Egon's granddaughter Phoebe battles Gozer herself and Egon materializes as a ghost to help and Egon's grandson Trevor powers the trap with his proton pack and when the traps are triggered, they trap Gozer and its minions within them, and that's how they defeated Gozer the second time. Actually, the Ghostbusters defeated Gozer the second time of Ghostbusters: The Video Game when it manifested as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man again, so Gozer's defeat of the 2021 film would really be the third time, to be more accurate.

2:47 fun fact: that fire hydrant that burst with water is actually sand, during testing the water wasn’t spraying out right it was kinda misting and going up too high, so they hooked up a sandblaster to it and it looks perfect.

@@ef-5tornado495 The guy was such a idiot. He ignores Egon and shuts down the Containment System causing it to blow and allowed the ghosts to escape. Having the Ghostbusters arrested for violating the EPA and for the explosion at Ghostbusters HQ and makes false accusations that the Ghostbusters are con artists and used nerve gas on the NY population making everyone think they're hallucinating and are seeing ghosts and that they caused the explosion at Ghostbusters HQ.
