Great video. Enjoy it very much. You have us chomping at the bit to head to the Bahamas! I sailed over to the Bahamas when I was 29 and didn't go back for 25 years. I wish I had done what you guys are doing when I was your age. We go every chance we can now, though. Something so magical about seeing that water every time!

Billy,,you are spot on in heading coastwise to the South, and then heading East to make the crossing. maybe you can convince Scott. 😀 awesome crystal blue water. My dream is your reality! Living on the water and being that close to nature is an amazing opportunity. I'm sure there are ups and downs from day to day, but as long as the ups outnumber the downs... Doesn't get any better than that. Enjoy the journey and safe travels! Look forward to future videos. P.S.: The short 8-9 minute format seems to work best. Also, watching the boat projects series was also fun.

Hey dude , if you wanna clean your engine up real good use a product called brake clean ! One can spray it on get out of the engine room wait 10 minutes and wipe it down with some rags it will come up brand new ! Then you will be able to see any leaks with ease ! Good vids cheers from Australia

Great start to another Bahamian adventure!! Will be following you on your journey. How far out from Florida in the Gulf Stream, ie miles, did it stay rough. Was it forecasted to calm down or did you just plow onward. Had there been any north wind component in the last few days. Just wondered on how you know when it's time to turn back or keep pushing through. Thanks Charles

Can't believe how close you are to the mainland! Just a few hours and you're there, way cool. The water is beautifully clear. How is the temperature, warm? So sad to see that catamaran destroyed. Strange that it has not been salvaged by someone. Kind of a surprise at the $150.00 fee for your stay there! What does that fee cover? So looking forward to seeing your adventures there.

+Edward Grant thanks for the comment! That fee covers cruising around the Bahamas for up to 90 days plus the fishing permit for all the fishing and diving we do there. Def worth it if you spear and/or fish. Price goes up for a bigger boat

live simply and creatively, find good deals on boats that need work, put up with fiberglass all over our bodies for weeks and months, work hard at our seasonal jobs, and have the drive to keep it all going.

Scott's Wood , unlike the rest of us, they didn't buy into the house in a neighborhood thing. If I had to do it all over, I'd much prefer their way. Now it's all about convincing the wife to do this for retirement years.
