Man, gotta admit that Tundra looks sweet. It looks just right with the color matched grill, it's not so "moustachy" LOL - Those Method M705 wheels look incredible! They remind me of the old Tacoma T/X Baja wheels which I've always loved. There was a click ad on Expedition Portal I think is when I first saw them. They are true beadlock wheel I believe w/o the silly bolts. Instantly a must have and it was the first thing I did to my 2015 Tundra 4x4 doublecab mag. grey ARE camper shell (Ironman lift coming next) Excellent content guys!

I’m watching this a year later and it keeps blowing my mind that you’re saying the Tremor is (was?) cheaper. The new truck market must have been very different in early-mid 2022, because I’ve been pricing a new F150 Tremor in comparison to a new Tundra Limited TRD Offroad, and the Tremor is about $12k more expensive! ~ $74k for the Ford vs. ~ $62k for the Toyota.

Those new tundras are pretty sweet. 🤘

You need a wedge camper like an AT Summit or which ever one you like. Love the Tremor! You should do a video comparing the turning circles, the traction, the off road features, the mods you both did, and the cost, etc.

I'll need to look into the Pacific Crest OHV trail! I've hiked about 480+ miles of the Pacific Crest Trail that goes from the US/ Mexico border all the way to the US/ Canada border. I got a long way to go on the PCT but it would be fun to do some overlanding on the OHV version too!

Funny I thought area looked familiar, used to go by that place often when I was a in the Marine's to do desert training. Further down the road up on the canal lived an old guy named Catfish Willy it was dusty but still interesting.

It's good having somewhat of a story with the video. So you may be able to answer this question. There are so many Toyota's and Jeep's used for overlanding with Ford's and Chevy not being so popular for this. Being that your friend had the Ford Tremor, do you guys have any good compare and contrast stories from this journey? Any particular point trekking the same exact trail and terrain where one outshined the other? It would be cool to see aftermarket companies produce more products for the other brands to get them out there more as well!

Maybe its just me but I didn't see any terrain to really challenge either truck, it was a nice trip though. I just took my 2022 Tundra TRD off road to Boca Chica Beach here in south Texas it wasn't horrible getting through but there was several spots where it was a bit shady (deep sand, drop off's etc. water was was hitting me at a few spots) I'm not sure I was in the right power mode because I thought i was needing more power. Maybe I should've put it in sport mode? I was in 4high, I had a 2020 TSS 4x4 and I always felt confident about the amount of power it had, never had to use 4 low. What 4x4 mode were you all in?

Have you found that there are decent AMOUNT of overland trails for full-size trucks? I want to build a full-size since I have three kids. I’m not putting three kids in the back of a Jeep or Bronco. But I want the full size truck prices to be worth it with a lot of trails.

What compressor are you using in that one shot? Do you have a review on it?
