Nice review. I got a set for indoor home workout during winter. I have 0.25 lb, 1 lb, and 2 lb rope. I was a beginner and I found that I needed up a lot with the 0.25 lb. The 1 lb rope was easier to jump because of the weight of the rope your body can track rope position easier. The down side is that in the beginning, the 1 lb rope will exhaust you much faster and fore arms will build up lactic acid quickly but over time (3 months), my forearms, wrists, and back endurance greatly improved. After tracking ning with the 1 lb rope the 0.25 lb is extremely easy and is best used for warm up/cool downs, or when you want to keep going but you don't have any more gas in the tank for heavy ropes. The 2 lb rope is for not worth it IMHO. Crossrope is a training rope system so the double under is probably the most complex trick you could perform. The sweet spot for improving jump rhythm, endurance, and strength will be the 0.5 lb and 1 lb ropes.

You’re awesome! I didn’t even notice you had a prosthetic leg for most of the video. Thanks so much for the review.👍🏽

Nice review (saw an ad on Facebook). One of the things I hated most about Crossfit (other than all the ridiculous reps for time and the box catering to the "elite" folks and having way too many people and not enough equipment) was the jump rope drills; three months and I never mastered double unders and could only do 20-30 consecutive jumps at a time before I'd mess up/trip. Good tip on using them on a mat.

I’ve had the Crossrope for a couple of years. The only one that I really like and use frequently is the 1-lb rope. For speed and agility, I prefer my $8.00 Boxer Rope (PVC cord).

I get to open mine for Christmas!!! Eeeeeeek!!!!! :) Btw, school running tracks are great for better shock absorption AND far less wear (if any) on your ropes!

Great review. I notice you are jumping on concrete. I just ordered the 1/4 & 1/2 lbs. How are they on concrete? Do they wear out fast?

What heavy jump rope do you recommend? I wanted to buy the cross rope cause it brings different weight but I’m afraid the price might not be worth it

Hey antony. I want to know your opinion. What you think about high intensity training before breakfast? Do you workout with empty stomach?
@BodyweightMuscle

Hi VG, it depends on the person although I also think its a matter of giving it some time to adapt. It works most times for guys, I've seen that women struggle a bit more with it sometimes. As to benefits (such as burning more fat) studies show that there isn't a serious difference.

Hey, a bit off topic, but what do you think of the idea of picking two or three exercises and doing as many reps as possible (AMRAP) in 15 minutes and trying to beat your score every workout? So 15min AMRAP pull ups, 15min AMRAP dips, 15min AMRAP rollouts for example. Is this a viable program for an upper body strength and size? a response would be greatly appreciated.

Hi SN, it could be something you do once a week to give your neuromuscular system a good kick. But you'd need at least two full days of recovery always.

Hey mate, was wondering what you think about incorporating a kettlebell into the homemade muscle program? i believe its worth a try because it is still a minimalistic approach and it will help me burn more fat! i am very interested in your opinion on this, any sort of reply would be appreciated. thankyou!
@BodyweightMuscle
@BodyweightMuscle 7 лет назад
Hello Jakob, I know a lot of people are fans of the kettlebels (and a lot of the people I study and respect). Personally I'm not a big fan yet (although I've experimented with them). I prefer prioritising other things. I do want to reconsider them in the future though if I find them more valuable then I do so far. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind :)

Skipping rope has been part of my training since late 90's. In my opinion Crossrope is just barely mediocre. A hype job. Even the agility rope is heavy and slow. Handles feel like two tennis rackets. For the money I expected more. Needless to say I was quite dissapointed. Would not have bought if I could've tested it first. Much better ropes out there for less money. Just my 2 cents...

Hello, always happy to get feedback. Any jump ropes you like and would recommend?
@CaptainLeftHook
@CaptainLeftHook 6 лет назад
At the moment I own 13 different jump ropes from different brands. Some of them are good, some of them are really poor. Here's a short list of ropes I personally recommend: 1. Springseil PROspeedrope PRO, made in Germany, not the cheapest, it's about $40, coated steel wire, simple, fast, amazing jump rope for the money, check out the videos on youtube. It's worth ordering from Germany. www.prospeedrope.de/ 2. Reebok Pro Speed Rope (black & blue handles), cheap, older jump rope and it might be a little bit difficult to find these days, google it, amazing rope for the money. 3. Buddy Lee Aero Speed. About $40 on ebay, light, fast, good for tricks. I really like it. 4. Everlast Deluxe jump rope, cheap, simple, good rope for the money. 5. Some Adidas ropes are decent. P.S. Stay away from these: Lifeline and King Athletics. They suck. Also not impressed with Crossrope. If I lived in the USA I would've sent it back. I just bought the 1/4 lb agility rope because I'm more into cardio, speed and some basic tricks. Crossrope just doesn't work for me. Handles are big, bulky and heavy. Even the 1/4 lb agility rope feels slow and heavy. Of course this is just my opinion.
