We did the same thing back in the 50's 60's and 70's however we did it in empty parking lots and the cops left us alone as long as we didn't take it out onto the streets. It was almost every Friday and Saturday nights.
@@d.i.p4076 lmaoo. So you do something stupid cause people kicked you out from doing something illegal? Don't compare yourself to these ogs. You just another entitled millennial bum
Thankfully around where I live this doesn’t happen cause not enough people willing to do it or own these kinds of car I know the younger crowd around here is apparently big on getting trucks(I’m only 20 but I don’t really fit the younger crowd with how they act )
you’ll be fine, i’ve been to hundreds in a g35, which is more targeted than a scatpack sadly here in la, been pulled over once and i was revving on cop car like a jackass
Put a tracker on your bike and keep it in a garage if possible. A poor-man's approach is to just hide an airtag in the bike. Yes the thief could get alerted, but hide it good and they may either give up or just not find it.
I’ve been in a car club for over 10 years and we’ve held thousands of car meets, in the last three or four years those peaceful car meets have ended in chaos due to these idiots that don’t know how to act, stop traffic, start drifting dangerously in a parking lot full of nice cars and families with children. Now the police have cracked down on our meets so we no longer have them thanks to these people. Most of them are newer V8 cars and trucks that are not modified to the level that our show/race cars are yet powerful enough to get into a lot of trouble. The car community is disappearing and it’s all because of people like these.
We better start showing support for aggressive law enforcement because too many people have decided that they can behave in any manner they want including turning public roads into their own personal race track.
@@JL-ko8vu That's correct. They don't just shut down the street but they are also aggressive towards the public. In Georgia a couple of weeks ago a police officer in her patrol car came across one of these and the crowd attacked the officer. That's how brazen they have become. There has been an entire breakdown in this country and here's some news law enforcement is not free from blame for the lawless situation. To many agencies are hands off too often and no it's not always because of the current anti-cop/black lives matter situation. I live in a state where law enforcement does not have to deal with the all too common anti-police sentiment but they don't do their job. The law enforcement problem in my state is mostly due to low pay, lack of manpower as well as police budgets that are too low for proactive policing. The cops in my county consistently fail to make arrests because of lack of manpower. They will avoid all arrests except what is absolutely necessary and the list of what crimes result in arrest has been decreasing. The smartest way to avoid being arrested in my county is to make it clear to the cop that you have a medical condition that will require you to be taken to the hospital and the cops will call an ambulance and leave. They will not make an arrest if it means they will lose an officer to babysit a prisoner in the emergency room. The lack of manpower on patrol means they need every officer available to close out calls and the Sheriff does not want the hospital bill. There's that scene in the 1995 Chris Farley film "Tommy Boy" where they are getting pulled over by the cops so they immediately run out of the car yelling bees and the cops drive away. That's not as far fetch as it seemed. In my county if you are drunk just tell the cop it's your diabetes and most definitely tell him your erratic driving could be caused by all the psychiatric meds you are prescribed. I'm not kidding the cop will call an ambulance and once you are on the stretcher he is gone. Had a guy a few weeks ago found in a closed business and instead of making an arrest for burglary they sent the guy to the emergency room as a psych. Here's another recent gem from my county's finest. They tried to make a car stop but the driver refused and when they finally got the car stopped they quickly told dispatch the driver was not drunk but instead it was a Diabetic problem so they sent an ambulance. Now keep in mind they have no proof of a Diabetic problem but they are 100% sure it must be. The ambulance showed up and checked the driver's blood sugar and it was 100% in normal range. The cops still thought the ambulance crew was going to transport and when the crew said they weren't because the problem is not diabetes the cops drove the driver home rather than make an arrest!!! None of this has to do with anti-cop work stoppage.
There’s literally track take over events for a reason bro , I understand it may be far for some to get to a destination because where its located. But common if you really want to do this , do it the right way at a track. There’s a reason the tracks are being shut down it’s because they’re not getting enough support enough funds to help keep the tracks open and maintained. Go to the tracks so they won’t keep getting shut down ! We can either save what we have or lose both our tracks and the ability to mod our cars and making it harder for us car enthusiasts trying to do it the right way
There were 9 tracks open to the public when LA was only a few million people - now with 11 million people its essentially down to 1 and events get so crowded you might get one or two passes in 4 hours....maybe LA county shut down all the race tracks and left 2 for pro racers/NHRA events Regular people have little access
As limited as this response is, I am relieved to see some action being taken and reported. Mob violence, and mob rule is seldom just, and seldom "just fun" Very often there is serious crime involved.
@πετρⲁ your not very bright at all , small government would not mean less policing of laws that the majority of the population want enforced , small government means less regulations and bureaucratic waste . 🤣
I run into this every weekend. Right at the entrance to a factory at shift change. Tired of it as well.People trying to go to and from work. We've had issues with the spectators drawing weapons on workers trying to go in and leave the plant.Lots of intersections and they have to pick that spot.
Wait what, you think you should be able to live life without dumb dumbs taking over your intersections lol? Bettet you than me! Just kidding of course, but honesltgood luck out there.
"We've had issues with the spectators drawing weapons on workers trying to go in and leave the plant." That's why I carry a firearm. You pull on me, you'd better be ready and willing to use it.
Why don’t the police just dress out of uniform, video the crowd and license plates and get them with video evidence. They wouldn’t know what hit them. Less dangerous, dramatic, disruptive but completely effective. Where are the brains in these situations? ?
The could just use drones and do that job will less expense. But you need the plate and the drivers face while they are committing the crime, else the driver can report his car stolen and loophole his way out.
@@SI0AX Everyone that attends has a camera or cellphone in their hand. A cop in plain clothes at ground level in the crowd with a video or phone would never be discovered. A large crowd could have a half of a dozen there. Faces, plates , cars , attendees and everything else would be taped easily.
That has been talked about, but the liability for a county or city is to high, the only way it works is if they treat it like a organized track, drivers would have to sign a waiver. Attorneys would have a field day if ran any other way.
@@TheSteviebobevie well you can only break serious ones and get a slap on the wrist but heaven forbid you change your muffler from stock to one that 2db louder

@@v8_sami Who’s “you guys” 🤦🏽♂️ discrimination at its finest. But to answer your question, my comment was rhetorical. As in I could care less. I am the only one responsible for my life and safety. Why pay someone else when I have the right to do so myself?
@@darrensanimalsreptilesfish30 sounds like you were waiting for the wrong department buddy. Last time I checked firefighters put fire out…..don’t blame 🐽
Take-overs done by idiotic clout chasers are destroying the car scene and making all car enthusiasts look bad. Since when did it become "cool" to block traffic, annoy people, and put peoples lives in danger. These guys doing donuts in intersections think they look so cool, but in reality they just look like dangerous unskilled idiots wasting everyone's time.
Sadly, this kind of publicity only fuels the desire to keep doing it. They love the “outlaw” “anti-establishment” persona they draw. They’ll go home and turn the tv on and see this as one of the top stories and find it as an accomplishment for making the news

if they can afford to buy a C8 corvette then I’m sure they’ll pay whatever fine the state has given them and get right back to it. there is no penalty here
Take them cars and never give them back. Every time they get cought mandatory jail time and their car taken awaY plus a 20 grand fine. If the city wants to make money they will definitely make a lot of money.
Balboa and San Fernando is a hot spot. Used to live there. Literally these clowns are the reason you can’t even swap up your mufflers in California without a state referee. They ruin it for true car enthusiasts.
@@dominiquexo4772 what does this have to do with race? You millennial’s literally think everything is about race. Jesus… He’s literally talking about the car community….
@@lemondrop7305 seriously! America is very punitive. But the messed up thing is most people have committed crimes, it’s inordinately the poor that get caught. Basically the criminal justice system is Neo slavery, criminals are seen as less then human and deserve what they get, and even used in prison labor making cents/hr.

Sadly there are also a lot of people that put fake plates on their cars prior to arriving just in case someone is recording. It's like the thieves have been doing in the smash and grab thefts of big stores. They remove the plate and then put it back on when they get home.
Law enforcement need to get creative and aggressive. Lay down spikes and block them in with semis and large metal barriers. All those caught inside the wire will have vehicles impounded for 30 days, towing fees, and storage charges. I'll bet this will shut them down quickly.
Still have to pay impound/tow fees. maybe $400. might be enough to make 'em think twice but key word is "think". I don't believe these idiots do much of that
Man I'm so glad I don't live in California, there needs to be a solution to this problem. Not just busting up crowds... We look at what these people are doing with such a judgemental point of view when the reality is if there were designated areas for people to do such events like this the problem will become less and less.
Designated areas in Cali..not so much but they could do it elsewhere like not in the middle of an intersection, yes 😂. They will never designate an area for street car anything really…that’s just more land to build a business or housing area for that 💰
I don’t think it will stop, but it can get harder for anyone. Who’s going to be the one who makes it hard to do things ? Who’s going to be the one to make it feel like it’s challenging to do ? Who’s going to have easier ? Cops or these people ? Time will tell you
Dumb! I had a co worker get arrested(reckless driving and public nuisance). He lost security clearance and got fired. He lost everything for street racing.
I agree, it isn't worth it. It's ok to work hard and buy a nice ride - Get the gf with it and just kick back on a Friday night but there is no need to block an entire street like you own it to just show off your sweet ride. Photos last longer
In the old days we used to have a few beaters that were intentionally loud and lit up to distract the cops. We had radios and multiple backup plans. These young guys gonna learn one way or another you gotta be smart.
They are boneheads bro.. Id sue df out the department. They could just stand back and just get license plates from afar... But no they just cause more problems.
@@eaglesfan9712 that is where the harsher punishments need to come into play. If found driving without license, automatically 60 days in prison. No crying. No lawyer “ouu i have psychological problems now” “ou i was only 18”. These are the kind of laws we need.
They should block both sides of the roads with road spikes, tell them they can leave with their cars or walk home and get their cars impounded. Bet most wouldn't show back up again.
When you see people leaving their houses in rush hour traffic who don't have to drive in it and don't know where they're going, that's when you know that the road is full of gutter trash. 🤡🤡
This entire ordeal seems stupid to be honest. Assign private (or public with corresponding permission) areas for these events and enforce it. Attendees cannot go outside the area and police cannot go and disrupt their activity.
I don’t mind it. I just wish there is a safe place for this to happen eventually. The valley is so lame at night and anywhere you go to hangout there will be cops and Karens are there telling you to leave. I get that y’all want the boring quiet suburban life, but I would argue there is no culture here. All the bars and clubs are creepy or cringey, or just old and lame. We need to Create a place for these things to happen. It’s hard to stop people from trying to feel alive, especially in this society and world we live in.
Lmao bro y’all need something to make you feel alive ? Making other people’s lives more difficult for you to take pictures and rev your engine is so immature like get a life bro there is more to it
Car enthusiasts here and am glad they are cracking down on these morons. Tired of seeing them block off streets for BS burnouts, obnoxious annoying backfiring exhaust from slow cars etc. Chill respectful Car meets are gone. This new generation ruined it with their mopars and takeover meets.
This is why you need affordable tracks or arenas for people to do this and not have to do it in public and put others in danger. Of course those will never be made because of safety issues and it would include a lot of waiver signing to do.
Personal responsibility and understanding the ramifications of one's own actions - it sucks if one dumber than a bag of hammers. It doesn't take more than 2 neurons to rub together to figure out if one does stupid shiznit, then one is gonna wind up in the clink.
Agree. There use to be LACR in Palmdale for racing. But that closed awhile back. Balboa and Woodley’a actually a nice long road; fairly desolate too. I can see why kids would mess around there.
As a car enthusiast, I don't condone this type of behaviour. This is ruining the car scene for enthusiasts like myself where we just want to cruise with our cars to relieve stress.
man a lot of haters in the comment section against street racing, if only you kept the same energy against real crime. Imagine car companies making cars that have a lot of horsepower and not being able to use it. the only idiots that are getting hurt and dying are the ones running in the middle of a donuts for Instagram. if they opened up all the tracks that they closed this wouldn't be happening.
