This world cup was special for my dad and myself. My dad's health was quite bad and I never thought I'd ever see Germany win a world cup with my father alive. This game Ill never forget being in the pub with my dad with a handful of other Germany supporters surrounded by a sea of Brazil supporters. I felt the danger but my dad and myself were having such a good time that we couldn't hold back. Screaming, jumping up and down and laughing. Never forget those moments.

Brazil will always be the one of the top 3 football countries in the world to me. Most of my lifetime (born 1992) Brazil was number 1. Thats why this game was so unbelieveable.
The crowd reaction is amazing. After the first two goals the brazilian fans get sad and some start crying, but after the fifth goal they just laugh at the sheer absurdity of the situation. It may have been one of the most humiliating matches in the world cup history but they took their loss pretty well.
I don't feel bad for the Brazilians. They've enter every World Cup claiming that God will grant them victory, and the trophy belongs to Brazil before the games have begun.
It's a surprise that so many people thought Brazil would win before the game. They really weren't a great team. Then again, I thought the game would be very close with Germany winning, so I got the winner right but I was still way off. But still, I honestly don't get how people could have thought Brazil would win 3-0. It was clear before the tournament even started that Brazil would never beat Germany by such a margin.
ilovemanunited Looking back, I don't really see why I thought it would be close. Man for man, Germany was much better, and Germany's strategy was better, so they were the better team on paper. Plus Brazil had two of their best players missing. I guess it was just because everyone said Brazil would win on home soil, and that influenced me. I thought Germany would win it all ever since the group draw was made, but I thought Brazil would put up a better fight. It turns out they really were not a great team and should not have been a favorite.
I wonder where all the Brazil fans are that predicted Brazil would slide past Germany with a multi goal victory before easily winning the World Cup. I guess they are facing the reality that Germany is much better than Brazil.

It amazes me how everyone thought Brazil were going to win in the first place. Do not tell me that a team with Bernard, Fred, Jo, Luiz Gustavo, Paulinho, and Willian as key players were going to win the World Cup and defeat a team with great players like Neuer, Ozil, Muller, Kroos, Klose, Schweinsteiger, Khedira, Lahm, Hummels etc. lol Especially without their superstar (Neymar) and their captain (Thiago Silva). Not really I don't know if Brazil would have won but Neymar's injury meant Marcelo(overconfident on that match) had to provide that width & when Brazil were caught up Germans exploited that space very well(scoring 3-4 goals from that). But anyway Germans were SMART & dominant😐

I'm English and I was supporting Germany. I felt like they deserved to win the world cup more than Brazil, especially as they had reached 2nd and 3rd from 2002-2010. I was really happy when Muller and Klose scored, then I was both happy and stunned at what happened afterwards. It also seemed that everyone I asked said they were supporting Germany aswell.
English people have an affection for the German style of football. It's classy and machine line and still has the power, grit and dirty side that the English love about football
