Starting in 2002 all crown Vics and Marquis got PI heads, so the motor is identical to the mustang. Aside from the intake facing the driver side on the Vic/Marquis, and the mustang facing the passenger side.
I believe in the power and stoutness of the 4R70W, I know it's a great trans, but it's a change of pace in driving style for me as well, I miss banging gears out :( I live in HI and it'd cost a fortune to have a machine shop do the JMOD drilling for me, and too expensive to freight ship it to the mainland to get it done
what were his actual time ? I ran flat 15,s before the swap and ended up runnig flat 14's once everything was dialed in . The stock 5,4 has way more low end torque but same hp so if you cant hook off the line your pretty much done .
I know this video is old but im looking to put headers on my 1997 grand marquis. I was only gone do the short. Cant find them nowhere to say they are for my car. How do i know if they will fit. I have a 4.6 engine and i was gone order some for a mustang because its the same egine. Just wanna be sure.
any transmission from the mustang from 96 to 04 will fit as the bellhousing is the same.I say it is up-graded because the internals are stronger to take some abuse

yeah heads on a 4.6 and 5.4 are almost exactly the same.I 'm going with the TFS 38cc. I should be making a good 300+ at the wheels without much problem
What kind are you thinking? I was leaning towards the TFS, I have seen a writeup from (corral) that looks good about 480 N/A. (have link if want) Also I have a quick question, the heads on the 5.4 and 4.6 are interchangeable correct?
Wow! Hey I am installing SW headers on my 03 Marauder. Stuck on the frontward 2 bolts ...any tips on how to access those babys and tighten them up? Love the sound of your car!
+BIG MONEY DRAIN you will need a good intake to fit under the hood or use the 4.6 intake with adaptor plate.The motor still drop in if you use the 4.6 motor mount.The stock pcm will ''work'' on the 5.4 but you still need a tune.
Did you need to modify the Stainless works headers AT ALL to make them work with this 5.4 swap? i am days away from starting my own 5.4 swap in a 2000 CVPI and want to know what headers will work without modification.
Oh yeah, of that I don't doubt. I'm already working on getting the 4.6 out. Then I need to find a good used 5.4 which isn't proving easy. Most junkyards I've been too want close to the price of a remanufactured engine. It's crazy!
