I run this amp on 2 vega XLS215s and 2 AT15s wired in series. It rocks hard and cant tell much difference between this amp and a Carver TFM -55. Best amp Ive ever found for the price. I paid $500 for the Carver used on Ebay and $210 for this one.
Yeah, I watched this one guy amp dyno this and I love it even more becasue the results. Is Carver anygood? I've heard of the name before but havent heard much about em
What’s the frequency response on those pyle LF drivers? Or is it low-mid drivers? Need to get you a 31 band eq. Thanks for the vid. Been contemplating on getting a crown xli 3500 for sub duty.
I've been using an old qsc 1400 solid state amp and it sounds amazing but only rated 200 watts at 8ohm I just ordered this amp because it was rated 330 watts at 8ohm my question is do you think this new crown will be better than the qsc 1400 I'm using because the specs say 330 watts but the dyno test says it actually puts out almost 500 watts at 8ohm stereo I'm just wondering because maybe the qsc puts out more watts than it says and it weighs about 40 pounds to more than the newer crown what's your opinion witch is better older qsc1400 or this crown xli1500 900 watt amplifier thanks
@@MarshallDatBoi I got the rockville rsg15.28 dual 15 inch 1500 watts rms they say so I estimate about 750 watts and 15 inch powered subs I was using some old 260 watts technics speakers but my qsc will blow them if I turn it up to loud even when my gains are a 1/4 turned up so I got the cheap rockville speakers and your crown 👑 amp
@@MarshallDatBoi right on man thanks for your opinion my room is very small with a loft it's kinda shaped like the inside of a subwoofer box and audio sounds really good and bass is on it 👌 I got a short video of it before I got the rockville speakers if you want to check it out have a good one man I subscribed to your channel 😀 👍
So I have ordered Crown XLi 3500 for my CerwinVegas DX9 rated 400wpc at 4 ohms. Is that an overkill and will hurt my 3 ways, with 15in woofers or as long as I don't blast them they will be fine?
Cerwin vegas, it depend on how many watts the speakers can take. If they can only take 400 watts keep the amplifier low but if they can take some wattage then crank it up. The xli 3500 seems overkill in general I saw the 1500 get tested on youtube by Williston audio I believe and the amp put out the wattage it says plus so like I said watch the volume
@@marcin97 the xli 1500 can produce nearly 1000 watts. Just remember that these amplifiers need a strong signal to really produce the power. Otherwise im glad my video helped you fond a great amp
So when I used the amplifier for those speakers, thats how it sounded best was the v curve (more bass more treble) but i noticed on other speakers I was dialing in the midst more or treble more. Like the yamaha ns6490 id make adjustments to the treble and mods boosting them slightly and dropping the bass a bit. The amp is I belive considered vintage now. It is an older amplifier/preamp.
@@MarshallDatBoi yes Sir, it is. May I ask you one more question? I have two W15 speakers 850+850W @8 ohms. I want to use crown Xti 6002 ampilfire for those. It gives 1200w per channel at 8ohms. Is that okay if my ampilfire gives 350w extra power then my speakers.?
@@paulraju117 well I would recommend not maxing out your amplifier but yeah thats totally fine. Just make sure that you have a pre amp to the crown. These amplifiers need a strong input signal. Otherwise like I said just don't go full tilt
