I viewed the 3rd ending as the protagonist achieving a form of power and using it to end all revival technologies, making death permanent again, and therefore giving life meaning again.

I was gonna mention this when I watched the start of the video but the video does sort of make this point: Cruelty Squad doesn't look the way it does because it hates the player, it does because it hates the world in it. Like you said, artistic value isn't a concept anymore in it, and the overall world is as pure dystopia as dystopia can be.

there's a book series called Scythe which is about Humanity achieving immortality and one of the aspects of it is that art become meaningless because there is no more emotion put in it. they no longer have the fear of death and so they no longer experience quite as much joy.

ironically enough, the bizzare art direction is the most unique and appealing part of the game to me. Its so beautifully chaotic and bright. Its mesmerizing

I will stare at any texture vomit for those G11 and AN94. Somehow a single guy made guns feel better than many full studios. Also, this isn't mentioned much, but the sound design is actually pretty good and intuitive, despite the stinky samples used. I now want every shooter to pitch down my gunfire as the ammo depletes.

The jump cuts of the dystopian nightmare fuel really brought the game into reality for me lol

That was certainly....illuminating. Ngl, I was taken aback by how disgusting everything looked. But, at the same time, amazed by the glowing reviews I saw for this game.

I cant tell if you're tying trying to make people not play the game or if you're trying to get people to play it and that fine line between makes me want to get it
