Awesome Jetson & I can’t wait. When I was about 6 years old , turning 68 tomorrow had the most fantastic dream vivid dream I was flying in my 1st grade little chair flying over my parents house & my Mom was yelling for me to get down from up there 👆! I was laughing & doing acrobatics up in the air. It was a blast in my dream! I would rather be flying anywhere up in that beautiful sky. Thanks for sharing ❤
This craft still needs to have either landing skids or shock absorbing wheels. In the event of a crash higher than 5-10 feet you could be looking at spinal cord trauma or whiplash.
If anything goes wrong mechanically with this craft, you are fucking dead. Even losing 1 propeller this thing will instantly go massively unstable and crash to earth like a rock. It will need some serious software ready to correct the RPM of the other blades if such an event were to happen to give you any shot of controlling this thing.
The best generator for this application would be a microturbine with a regenerator. They are very powerful and low weight/size compared to a traditional piston generator. They are also more reliable.
Cruising speed is a little slower than I imagined. I’d like to be able to cruise at 60 knots minimum with a flight time of 60-80 minutes between charges.
@@GrungeUAnot only battery capacity. The system overheats, limiting flight time on its own. At least that is what I learn from a cryptic response from JetsonAero
Obviously, what you guys are doing is absolutely fantastic and is needed, but with that being said, I don’t know if I will ever see in my lifetime, a soundproof technology, and right now with the decibels that are being produced by your flying craft, this is not going to be a practical application for personal transport
They need a 6 motor version. Front and rear sets provide stability, while the middle set pivots vertically to provide thrust for a healthy cruising speed.
@@cybernova4 Either way, the pilot is dead within short timeframe. Also, there is no "fireproof" box to contain a modern battery fire. It would just become a bomb.
Drone design = massive noise. Jetson1 = a drone design. This'll never be approved for city use, where one might want one to commute. Make it faster, quieter, safer, and efficient and you'll take over the world.
@Cole____ Best guess, you are flat wrong. 45mph? Guessing.. 10ft - into the ground; a pilot that weighted 190ibs, 20 ms impact time, would get hit with around 18,500 ibs of force. Probably fatal, more likely than not.
@@Cole____ As do I. This is a solid proof of concept, and can be improved upon. I've seen some other hover/gyro designs that seem safer, but not as much real footage as this one.
Auto rotate never saved anyone's ass 😅🤣😂 because no one has ever had the altitude or time to use it , and even if they had time , it takes them to much time to get out of the oh shit !! We're going to crash mode 😅🤣😂
@@kennypridemore5466 the point is not in the pilot's qualifications, but in the possibility of rescue as such. The aircraft from this video does not have any rescue capabilities similar to traditional aircraft, all hope is for the operation of a parachute rescue system, although it is critical for this device as excessive flight weight, but this is a problem for all electric-powered copters.
@@kennypridemore5466a proficient helicopter pilot is capable to land a helicopter safely out of low forward flight. Autorotation is possible even at zero altitude as long as you have sufficient forward speed.
