I have been thinking about what I want out of my next fishing rod wrapping jig for a few years now. I was able to incorporate all of my ideas into this new jig I made out of some old crutches and a kitchen cutting board.
The end result turned out really nice and I am very happy with it. I am certainly not a professional rod builder. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them as well as any comments!

very nice job in constructing you wrapper with a bit more you could make it a power wrapper good to see that you think out of the box

tacklemkr thanks! I thought about that possibility. I really don't need a power wrapper because I just do ultralight up to medium freshwater rods. You are correct though, it wouldn't take much more work at all to do a power wrapper. I'd even go so far as to say I could probably do it with what I already made. It would be 50rpm max which is slow but probably a little faster than by hand. Any faster than that and you would probably want to go to roller blank supports. Good thought, maybe someone will take that and do one. I'd like to see it!
