Actually you could add switch as secondary control sou you can turn it on in the modeler. Interesting video.

Will do! (That switch is faulty, so I need a new one)

Sick man! Going to try this I think. What wire should I search for? Also probably good for other pedals and guitar pickups/pots I’d assume

I did the same except I desoldered the jack connector from the PCB .... a bit cheaper :D

Nice! I wanted to keep the whole wah pcb and maybe repair it and make it work later (which probably means it will be stored for years)

1) Do you have an eBay link or the names of the components you used in the pedal? 2) Used to control volume, wha, pitch on the Kemper? 3) amazing job!

Hey dude, thanks, a linear pot is all I used (this one: www.amplifiedparts.com/products/potentiometer-dunlop-wah-10-k-linear ) other than that just wire and tools, and yes, on Kemper it can be used for volume, wha, pitch and morph

@@altobias6282 Can I use the same potentiometer that comes with the default pedal?
@YoureNowOnTV
@YoureNowOnTV 2 месяца назад
@@juanschonenberg5027 Yes so long as the device you're plugging it into can use that Potentiometer value. In my case with an AXEFX II a 100k linear pot works fine.

Good afternoon friend, could you tell me where I can find this pot and Jack? It also works for the Uni-vibe expression pedal right? Thanks.

Hello, I ordered the pot in www.amplifiedparts.com and the jack in www.digikey.com. I would think that if it is an expression pedal it should work with Kemper with no modifications, but if you need spare parts I’m sure those stores can help.

Hello! Thank you for this video as I have a body of a cry baby that someone supplied for me and I want to turn it into SOMETHING. However, I only have the three end mono jack. Do you know if it will work with that or not? I am not the best with multimeters and the one I have makes no sound (so much for going cheap lol)... Thank you either way!
@altobias6282
@altobias6282 2 года назад
Hey, I’m glad it is useful. I am not sure if it will work fine as expression pedal for kemper using mono jacks/plugs/cables, it needs the 3 ends (at least for kemper and similars) BUT maybe it will work partially, I can test it and comment back later. Or maybe someone reading your comment may have an answer

@@altobias6282 I appreciate your feedback. I gave it a try and nothing was working! Even as a simple volume pedal. I have a feeling the pot I have is busted. The sound can go through the pedal but maybe the pot just doenst work. Nothing happens when I roll the pedal up and down, just same volume and sound. One of these days when I feel lucky I’ll get the pot you recommended earlier. Another project for another day. Thank you!

Is it possible to do this with a bass Wah that doesn’t have the on off switch like most Wah pedals?
@altobias6282
@altobias6282 11 месяцев назад
I would think so, as long as you can use a linear pot, the on-off switch may be present or not, it would work

@altobias6282

For kemper? No, the cry baby comes with a logaritmic pot, kemper needs a linear one

@altobias6282
@altobias6282 2 года назад
I used this one www.amplifiedparts.com/products/potentiometer-dunlop-wah-10-k-linear (but any 10K linear pot that you can adapt will work) I think it is a 24mm shaft

I’m looking for a wah pedal that has the ability to send out expression while the wah is off. Does that even exist? Is a mod like that possible?? The idea is to have a regular non-buffered wah pedal in the beginning of my chain. But have a separate volume pedal with a slider like from Mas Effects after my overdrives. It takes expression, and i want to be able to control that with the wah pedal that sends out expression while it’s off. I can’t seem to find something like that so I don’t even think it’s exist
@altobias6282
@altobias6282 2 года назад
I don’t think it exists, but it is certainly possible to make, maybe using two jacks (and other elements) and/or a weird config inside the processor

To what pin or tip in The pot The output is conected ??
@altobias6282
@altobias6282 2 года назад
Check frame at 5:04, maybe that’s what you are looking for. Black is ground, the other two must be output and some reference voltage
@xcorp21

Sorry,,but i don't seem to see The output Jack wiring,,,,,cause u have to got a input n output Jack right?
@xcorp21
@xcorp21 2 года назад
Or their in The same Jack ?
@altobias6282
@altobias6282 2 года назад
@@xcorp21 not for an expression pedal, an expression pedal does not process audio. It just sends a value to the processor. Kemper (and other processors) will use this single value to do the trick (change vol, wah, pitch, etc). So, the original wah has input and output but when converted to an expression pedal it needs only one jack.

Will this work as a line 6 expression?
@altobias6282
@altobias6282 2 года назад
I don't know for sure, but if the line 6 receives just a "linear input" it might, Kemper accepts this 10K pot, I think Line6 requieres a 25K pot, altough it might work with 10K as well. I don't have enough info but you can check this: line6.com/support/topic/57247-the-fabled-list-of-compatible-expression-pedals-for-hx-stomp-please/
