This is a Great Help, recently picked one up. Question on storage tho, are these good to hang or best left standing, just not sure how the harness stiffness holds up best?
I would leave it standing the shoulder straps are susceptible to blowing out where they are stitched in and hang tight I have the tear down video and operational baseline setup video rendering rn ill have it uploaded in an hour or so
After using mine for months, I just now realized that the shock cord for the harness is NOT supposed to go through the vertical webbing on the middle of the rear plate bag.
Not quite sure what you mean by that as I disassembled and re assembled the plate carrier in the same filming session. So the way it came apart was the same way it went back together in its factory setting.
@@LegionPreparedness I meant I assembled mine wrong and ran it that way for a while. Instead of having the shock cord go just between the harness sides, I had it run through the vertical line of webbing down the middle of the plate bag.
With how much extra material the avs plate pockets have I think it would fit but I could be wrong. Crye has a pretty good return policy so you could get them and test it
@@WhyNotPulse I personally prefer the more low profile carriers cause they aren’t as complex easier to setup and the 119 and the airframe are very similar and very adaptable. The harness system is a cool concept for the avs but it’s not necessary and the s&s harness is more comfortable and a better harness system anyways so for a harness plate carrier system I think the s&s is better it’s a little tricking setting up but once it’s setup it’s solid. But back to the 119 and the airlight I hear more good about those systems than the avs. The avs is issued across sof but guys go out and buy the jpc, ferro, 119, air light, and other systems because they want something simpler, comfortable, adaptable, or more adaptable. Plus those other systems can be adapted to a more low vis/concealment mission profile where the avs really can’t. So as a base line I think you have better options over the avs.
Ridiculous amount of parts and failure points. Whom even invented this must of loved legos. So many better option out there dont be fooled by brand name and complexity, most of the time if not always more complex shit will get disappoint you before u expect it.
Could I mount my 3 band cummerbund in classic way via shock cord on the back like a harness between harness and back plate bag? Need to mount spiritus systems 3 band hard cummerbunds
