The Bitcoin halving takes place roughly every four years, and the technical event cuts the reward pays out to miners for validating blocks of transactions. This creates a scarcity effect that could drive up the price of the cryptocurrency, while cutting miners’ revenue, meaning more efficient miners perform better post-halving. A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new markets, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $1million in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.

I'm overall outperforming a lot of assets by holding Bitcoin and a few other top crypto altcoins. When my percentage goes down it goes down about double that of the s&p100/500 but when it goes up it goes up like 5 times the S&P rate.

Excellent choice having a great savings and more streams to earn makes life goals easier but our way of life needs better alternative, at the same time people also need to be more responsible. I know for a fact that there’s a lot of people that simply don’t make enough, I make roughly hundred plus a year and in California, rent inflation alone eat up almost all of what I make, with dependents and other obligations included, easy to end up with zero!

When FOMO climb it begins to emerge that is a recipe for economic self-implosion. There are no economic fundamentals behind valuations of Bitcoin. A potential problem with bitcoin that no one is talking about is that when the final bitcoins are mined the miners who facilitate the network will only be compensated by a small transaction fee rather than receiving new bitcoins. If bitcoin hasn’t become a functional currency by then and is just a reserve asset that is held and seldom traded the miners, who will no longer be miners, will need to constantly burn electricity just to keep things going and will receive very little compensation for their P&L’s to sustain their operations.

That will be in 100 years, assuming civilization won't end by then 😁 By that time energy may become so cheap (Fusion power or something) that it won't matter, or Bitcoin may become so big and mainstream that the transaction fees alone would be worth it for miners. No one can project 100 years into the future, the world will change so much. EDIT: I forgot the best argument: Mining hardware will become much much more powerful and efficient. It already did by a large degree within the past 10 years, let alone in 100 years, maybe even your fridge can participate to the network by then 😁

There is zero chance Bitcoin will survive to year 2140. Bitcoin miners lose money already even at peaks of bull markets and record prices and exist purely because of burning capital of speculants. All other businesses would be already bankrupted with such losses year after year. Balance sheets and income statements of Bitcoin miners is the place where real proof that BTC is just hype and unsustainable ponzi scheme is. Just imagine how would our banking system works if all banks were unprofitable for decades and lose billions every single year.

It's really negligible when compared to any other industry. It pretends to carry utility as a store of value. Gold is the biggest store of value, half of it goes into jewelry, and 40% to investment + banks. And trust me, the gold mining industry uses much more power.
