Also, don’t feel like you have to catch something every time. Big part of your channel is how genuine it is and part of fishing is just not getting anything sometimes. Watching the attempts and seeing the reality of it is just as much value for me personally as much as the reward that sometimes comes in the end.

slatey's are great eating mate, just need to pick how you cook them. Fantastic in curries, soups and stews but can be hit and miss if cooked simply. I think it really depends on what they feed on in the area if you want to do the standard fry or grill.

Rod, this is one of the best of all your camping trip vids. As an uninitiated, everything was beautiful - the dive incl. the clear water and coral, the distant landmasses, etal. The campsite seemed to me to be Your best. As far as the adversities (some self-inflicted) that kept coming from the last vid and this, You largely overcame them. THAT IS WHAT SURVIVAL IS, not 'pluck me & a supermodel off a cruise ship by helicopter, then watch us survive perfect conditions in an untouched, fertile environment using all the electronics our crew can carry and only what we can hold between our teeth & knees.' Last, my highest regard for Your continuing respect of fishing laws and the natural law of 'Enough" - that is, not taking a life when it is more than You need or can eat. These two vids DEFINITELY had a happy ending. Keep it up.

I was trolling a lure for 12 hours while we yacht raced that weekend, and I got 1 Mac tuna for the effort. Glad you got home early, the Seabreeze came in with some bite that arvo

You are outside, paddled 2 hours across gorgeous water, swam/dove and saw some beautiful coral, set up a tent for the night---- and took all of us with you!!!! I'm only halfway through, and I'm loving everything!! Don't feel badly when it doesn't go quite as planned because that's part of the adventure for all of us who maybe don't live close to the ocean or don't get our as much as we should/]could. So never feel badly if your plans don't go quite as you wanted. We are still loving having the a0dventure with you!! Still an awesome video. Remember that many of us don't live in a tropical paradise so just the scenery is worth it. you should try a hammock sometime. It's warm enough there I bet to not need an underquilt. Bug net would be a must though.

Rokkit just a tip mate if you use your boat / kayak look for sandy bottom with decent size bommies and if there’s stripes the trout aren’t very far away
