I know other midfielders can do what he’s doing now if ur talking about what he did for Liepzig or Hungary now that’s a different conversation but we’ve had engines in the midfield before I really wonder lol is Klopp the reason this man isn’t his former self did Klopp turn Szobo into a work horse

@roueljeremy3567 yeah is it Gini all over again who scored goals at other clubs. Hope Seboz can take few long shots & score hopefully build confidence from there. Seboz,Elliott,Jones strengths should in theory be better suited to Slot tactics than klopps.

The two areas that worry me for the season ahead are our midfield. We have three class players but no backup of their quality and in defence. Thankfully we have Gomez who can cover and Bradley but if anything happens to Konate or Virgil we could be in trouble. Same as our main midfielders,if we lost any of them I think the team will suffer.

Nah there is Quansah and Gomez for coverage in defense. Also Elliot will be back in midfield, Jones can be solid as well

Jota is and will be first choice at the top this year. He and Macca have highest football IQ's on the squad. They do a lot of the dirty work that often gets unnoticed in all the stat lines. Fans gave him a 6 rating last week against wolves in a game where he was key to both goals. He remains one of the keys to lifting trophies in 2024/2025.

Really interested to see Slot team for this game, alot predicted him rotating vs Bologna and he didnt which was best, I think with Palace tactics Gakpo be better suited over Diaz with Jota back in for Nunez.

On the Nunez not doing much in the last game,the manager did say that he didnt get the service..So not all to do with what Darwin did in the match..Swapping Jota and Nunez every game doesnt help either with game rhythm...

My predicted score : Crystal 0-1 Liverpool. It will be a tough game . My predicted line up :- Alison Trent , Konate , VVD, Robbo. Gravenberch, Macca. Salah , Szoboszlai, Lucho. Jota. My predicted subs : Kelleher, Quansah, Gomez , Kostas , Bradley, Endo, Curtis, Gakpo, Nunez.

It won't be easy for Liv.Palace as far as I know have not played for a week and are waiting for Liverpool.Between the end of the match against the Italian side and the start of match against Palace ,there will be approx 63 hours and adding to this à long trip to London and the midweek fatigue.Pljus the 12.30 early Kick-off which Klopp was not fond of Contrary to what Craig seems to think ,it won't be easy at all.I wish I may be wrong.

Going for a 0-2 win for us. Hopefully. Flaming CP, 12.30pm kick off, not our cup of tea. Having played in the week, don't know if the guys had CP in mind at the time, as they seemed out of sorts, almost allowing Bologna back into the game. Good so far in not conceding. We'll need to grab our chances early and well, otherwise, the longer we remain level with CP, the tougher it will be. As for the line up, would prefer Kelleher, rest Alisson; TAA, Konate, VvD, Robertson; Gravey, Mac All; Salah, Szob, Gakpo; Nunez.

To be honest I think TAA should be benched and give Bradley a chance, he seems to have other things on his mind at the moment and doesn’t seem to be playing too his potential, and I agree with Gomez Robbo has lost his edge he couldn’t hit a barn door at the moment, the only thing that worries me is our friend the referee and his mate on VAR.😢

There is a clear hole in the squad in the AM and LB position let's be honest. If our creative midfielder was doing their job we would probably be a lot more creative with the attack and potentially would not have lost against Forrest, not to mention our two not good enough LBs.

Robbo is one of, if not the best, in the world. Its not our creativity that lacks either. Our mentality in most games is spot on. 9/9 would be insane, not even klopp managed that at the start of a season. For that reason we have nothing to be unhappy about.

You said drop Trent he’s been way worse, he’s been great. They’ve conceded 2 goals all season. None of them need to be dropped. Drop him becuase he doesn’t like getting taken off? Show me a professional footballer in a successful team who does, it doesn’t happen. He’s a winner and needs to be on the pitch. Bradley’s came on twice and been really poor. If Trent was still on against forest it would have been 1 goal conceded all season.
