the mentality part is seriously the most underrated, i used to only think that getting good at cs was getting better aim and i used to hate it when i lost but having a more open minded mentality removes bias and makes you think about cs like its a completely different game, great vid wilson :D
I really appreciate the niche you fill for genuine mental game advice. Pro tips to keep your cool. You can’t always be the best, but you can be the best version of yourself.
I'm *very* new to CS. Started playing when CS2 came out. Your videos have helped me enjoy the game and improve; I can now confidently play with my veteran friends w/o totally embarrassing myself. (still bad tho lol) I've played tons of other games before but there isn't one that can give you brain worms quite like CS. Keep it up man.
Adding on to that last tip, I would say, remember this is still a game. The core goal of a game is to have fun. If you’re not having fun, step back, analyze what’s going on, and follow this man’s legendary advice.
I really love the way you are talking about when I should spray, taps, bursts it's new things for me I don't know that bursts should drag down too Luv it WillsonCS2
i am 100% guilty for being a toxic player when something doesnt go my way i know its just a game we all want to win & have fun but i've been working on a positive mindset even though i had 1 guy have 2-11 for the first half but i said "you got this brother dont give up we can still win" he stepped up to the plate we lost the game but he contributed to the team more by being positive it worked
I have went from 6900 elo to 4045 in the last three days lol. it’s def about staying calm. I like to play with my lower ranked friends so if we lose my elo tanks like -550 sometimes. but you play a game to have fun so i’m proud of myself for not worrying about it at all also playing in a 3-4k elo lobby is harder than 7k elo. it just is lol
The moment I started playing to have fun AND improve is when I started doing ridiculously better. Now I just need to stop solo queuing Office and Dust 2. Also I just wanna say I really love that you always use a classic knife in all your videos, telltale sign of a chad.
Great last tip. I played half life, so seen a lot of CS. But only play a few weeks every year or 3... got some new friends in premiere and i was happy to get a kill or 2. Just disapointed that i suck after nearly 20 years!... still miss og dust and crack house with a shotty was fun!
Tip one: drip. If your team load out isn’t color coded and you got a drenching craft on every gun- you simply won’t have the conference to peak anyone.
Hey Wilson, can you do a video on how to be a good teammate in high level cs? I'm making a team and I've noticed in tryouts they have no idea how to be a good teammate and just solo look for frags. Knowing what's expected of you is so important. Trading your team, providing support, throwing good flashes for people etc. is lost on people
I am proud of myself that I have all my utilities binder before I seen this video I use mwheel up for smoke, x for molly, c for HE nade and h for flash
I think Comms need to be talked about more. You do a good job here. But maybe it could be it's own video? I think you once said, "It's a team game. Use a mic. Play it like a team. Like the way Gaben wants you to." (Or maybe that was a different CS video maker.) That's Comms rule #1, IMO. Communicate.
I supposed I am not late for this. Thanks for the few pieces of advice. I've met countless of toxic players within my 100 hours. It's just too difficult to play when no one tries to empathise.
In addition to your comms rule, call out whether you see bomb or not. "4 banana no bomb" or "2 banana with bomb" really helps those A players know when to rotate
Love your vids mate. Just from watching your streams I took over some tricks which sometimes gives me the essential advantage. Keep on your path! Greetings from Germany.
How is L/R isolation on 90 good? doesnt higher setting mean more of the sound just comes from the left/right so the directional audio will be worse. I don't like crisp. the reloads, weapon switch, grenade pins and low ammo tick sounds are too jarring
Hey wilson really good content as always ! I would like if possible that u make a video to optimise settings in cs2, to know what is really important to put in high and what is not important to have a competitive oriented game set
I’m new to CS - does everyone in the game (both teams) hear voice comms, or is it just your team until you die and then everyone can hear what you say?
Yes! Always be positive. Dont flame your OWN team. Were not fighting ourselves... we're fighting them! Also stop talking after you die. Give them info and then shut up lol.
For me, the nades bind are: scroll-up = smoke scroll-down = flash middle-mouse = grenade mouse's side back button = molotov It feels easier for me, because my keyboard's hand doesn't go out of position when I'm about to whip out my smokes in mid game
