1. CS2 code base might still be beyond human comprehension capability 2. They might not have unit test or coverage is not enough (I've heard Minecraft has a huge list of tests covering every interaction between items). Tests are for liveness and safety property. If program behavior is not formally proved, then should be tested, either normal tests or fuzzy.
I'm not a game dev myself but from what I understand game devs don't always use automatic environment tests like webdevs do with pupeeters, cypress etc. They write unit test obviously, but we can't know for sure that this specific bug can be caught by unit testing, as unit testing will test in a blackbox with every dependency mocked. I think they should use environment testing though, but it wouldn't be crazy to me that this specific bug wouldn't have been caught. I can imagine how difficult it is to test every possible interaction before they happen. The point of environment testing (aside from smoke tests) is to avoid regressions though. Once they fix the bug and write the test then the bug should never happen again.
@@KIagerdevs should also do unit test. At least thats how it works in small companies xd. I can’t believe only 5 devs working on such a huge game when valve have millions of dollars
Who the fuck is developing CS2? Why a multi-billion $ company cannot fix these easily fixable problems? What the actual fuck has happened to this world.
@@zioplys maybe study how valve works first? It has around 500 employees, thats it. not to mention the salaries are based on the quaterly profits. valve is not like your standard company, which is why its the best out there in terms of game companies
@@northernpolaris9895with all due respect, by looking at the company recent decisions, i think that they are only the best triple A devs, because the bar is absurdly low. They release a broken game (cs2) and ignore other ips, like tf2. And instead of fixing the problems and creating content for these games, they patch a bunch of bugs, release a new case, and go on a 3 month trip to Hawaii(exaggeration). Not to mention the lack of communication that not even an indie studio has.Besides, all of that while being worth billions of dollars.
@@zioplysthe thing is, valve developer actually loved updating dota 2, considering people just shitting on the meta update but still playing every single hour. Updating CS2 does not worth their time apparently, not as worth as Dota 2 imo
Most of the company employees are working on Steam, Deadlock, new Half-Life game and Dota 2. I guess they left CS2 updates monthly updates until they release Deadlock.
Mofos destroyed the whole movements system they took 2 decades to build on the top of that no freaking good anti cheat. What the fuck em I going to do with good graphics, if I play & get cheater in every game?
Just play a different game man, theres no point suffering in cs2 at the moment. Its gonna be a long time before they even attempt to do anything about it. I haven't played premier/competitive since 2023, best decision I ever made.
I don't understand why valve is trying to get rid of Teamplay and movement. Dust2 short boost, inferno short boost, mirage window boost just to name a couple. Now they punish ppl with run boosting.
Demos also seem to be bugged. Rewinding closes the demo, and it only plays back speed up if you reopen it. Not sure if it is just on my end or for everyone.
For the love of god please give us the random skin skin setting back! I wanna see my other skins I have in my inventory, I don't want to manually select new skins to see them in game. Also, allow us to see skins in Arms Race for weapons that aren't selected in our load out!
I've noticed they are not fixing exploits on the spot besides extremely game breaking ones, like the mid air suspension boost bug. I'm assuming (and hoping) they'll fix the rest of the exploits and bugs with a bigger content update... like keychains?
I honestly think they’ve removed them because it would be obvious to players the game isn’t working properly and people are seeing different things in the same servers. lol valve should actually be embarrassed.
i dont understand why after every update it seems the game performs even lower, especially HUD updates, i have 150fps on nuke where i used to have 200fps I have an RTX2070 and I play at all maxed out since im CPU limited so even if i try to lower the settings i dont get any performance gain
@@GrimReaper.. it's an eSport meant to be widely played with high framerates using an engine from 2015 with assets from a game from 2012, its been released for over a year now and the game is in its buggiest state it has no excuse running this poorly
does your game go back to the home screen while watching a demo? how to reproduce: - watch a demo - do time minus action (go back 15s / go to previous round / select random moment in the demo was passed) - voila, you're back to the home screen
Bro, they need to fix Assembly. My god, it's been almost a month of constant bullet lags in the airplane, as well as some bullets are as loud as a fucking Cal 50
So you'd rather them NOT update the game at all. Which is it? because I hate to say it but it seems like you would rather them not update the game but you'd complain that there hasn't been an update in a while.
@@counterstrike2isdeadwhat makes them incompetent?? Source 2 is one of the hardest engines to work with and there are very few people with experience in it. Making the game harder to develop for?
@@arvidkellstrom2001 Don't try explaining, a lot of the people complaining about cs-2 are just young kids or really cognitively impaired. They're used to quick and easy dopamine. 😃
The game still runs like shit and they are adding UI changes and keychains. What kind of PC should I have in order to keep normal FPS ffs ? Don't tell me to buy a new PC - if 4080 can't keep up with this shit game I don't know what can, the netcode needs work as well.
DON'T upgrade for this game. I'm on 13th gen Intel (special non-oxidized edition) with a 3080 Ti, and I need to run the game at 1080p to get 65% of the performance I had in CSGO. And it's still a stuttery and unoptimized mess depending on the map.
They're working on the game. That's a positive. It's seems like it's been a bit slow recently, but that's perhaps an indication that there's a bigger plan in place to reintroduce or release a large block of content, modes etc. They are always working on something, whether it's for now or for later.
I think we shoud stop assuming, that they are some mastermaimds, planning great updates four steps ahead. They proved multiple times that they have no plan whatsoever how to develop cs.
@@Maxsvel1337 128 tick is long gone dont even expect it to come that's for sure. As for anticheat they are fucking with us. The fact that they premier season should have changed in February makes me think that they are still collecting data. There is no use in being in premier leaderboards regardless of having cheaters or not.
Hello Mr Maxim. I don't know who to ask, so I'll ask you because if somebody knows it should be you. Is there any way to create a config or script or whatever it's called to use right or left hand individually for each gun? What I mean by that is, let's say for example I buy and draw/use that Ak-47 I want to have it on left hand viewmodel. Alternatively, when I use any pistol, I want it to have the right hand viewmodel. When I switch from the AK-47 (which is on the left hand viewmodel) to the pistol, I shouldn't have to press H to switch between the view models, it should be instant. What do you think? Is something like that possible? Thanks a lot.
They made the voting update now, so everyone can be safe when operation comes out. I remember when you needed an amount of kills with a weapon, and if someone voted to new map, the kills did not count and I need to do everything all over again... and it was always someone with 5 or less kills, and just 30 sec before the game was ending... THANKS VALVE!
Cs is my fav game but cs2 is currently uninstalled from my pc. Feels like the only people working at valve are gui and mapmaking team. Rest in piss valve anticheat and their cheater dedicated servers.
still no anti-cheat , ever since the game release the community begged and cried for anti-cheat. But unfortunately they really giving up the idea of anti-cheat
CS:GO: Launches being ass. Gets updated and becomes something people like. Launches a few skins, sure fine cool. Sole purpose of the game shifts to skin trading. Rampant cheating problem. Continues to launch skins and ignores cheating problem. CS2: Just CS:GO with 20% better graphics. Still has a cheating problem. Valve still only cares about skins and monetization.
Cheating isn't a problem, but not having a keychain for a gun is a huge problem. The game is gonna die if they don't release the keychains asap. Stop working on VAC, release the keychains volvo!
@@namesurname5149 the bottom guy stops when you land on him, before the patch we tested it and it wasnt working its really a punch in the face to the pro scene, first removal of bhop and now this..
@@RangerFPSSad if true. Removing such a classic bit of kit just because they can't figure out a solution in their shoddy porting of CSGO to Source 2. Shameful.
