As a cs3 owner, I feel obligated to go with the etha 3m for the same price. You can never have too many backups and that means I can bring more folks out with me.
Side note, I bought a used cs1.5, came with the carbon barrel, decided to get a mech gun I can loan out and I decided on the emek instead of a tmc just for the weight and the emek feels like an m4 for pb, but side tracked, I threw the carbon barrel on my emek stock out the box, played a weekend full with the emek over my cs, everytime I chopped a ball just plowed through it. Marker stayed 280 and mask shots All day. Love the cs, love the emek, if I could go back and buy the emek with the carbon barrel or even just a high end barrel upgrade I probably would! But here I am about to buy a cs3 pro 😂
The mechanical 170r is a wonderfully smooth shooting marker and perhaps the best value available, especially now that the 180r has solidly moved into the high-end territory. Now, for markers that feel special, the mechanical Luxe is a fantastic high-end choice that is more interesting than the CS2 or CS3 chiefly because those markers feel a bit sterile.
I wasn't a believer - I had a CS2 and an m170r, then I sold both on a gamble and got a used black CS3. Loved it... so I gambled again and paid full retail on the mech frame (which is bonkers it's so good). Now I have one gun that does both which is really all I wanted. You don't need a backup with a CS3.
I only play mech nowadays. I have a fully inception designs emek with secret pin and it rips, but my ff Trix shot to shot consistency puts it at the top for space mech in my book.
DLS is the most efficient marker ever produced. It has a unique sound and shot quality. The drivetrain is more innovative than any marker made in recent memory. Of course, the DLS launch didn't go quite to plan and many people reported problems, however, Dye is in the process of making a permanent solution which will make the DLS a very rare and special marker. I bought one because I wanted to support Dye's project and I wanted to support manufacturers taking chances to innovate. Also, it's fun to walk onto the field with something people haven't seen before because there are only a couple hundred in the entire world.
Hey its 7 months later, just curious are you still shooting a DLS? Have all the issues been figured out? I would have been choked to spend over $1500 on a high end gun and not have it work right out of the box. I get that it's an experimental product, I just couldn't picture buying one when there are more reliable options available.
I've commented saying this before, but as far as these modern Eclipse mechanical markers go, CS2 is the most comfortable to use, haven't touched the CS3 so can't comment. The M170R felt too tiny and low profile, the Emek wins for the price and ergos. I've gone through them all and still end up with the Emek.
Just buy a cs3 for 1100 dollars (i bought mine for that price silver/black) and its probably working completely fine also if your gonna bang it up just thats a reason why you should buy a used one. Then you could just buy a mech frame for 400 bucks and combined thats less then a cs3 itself
Any other electronic markers out there with mech frames that you can buy separate, without having to buy the entire gun? There's the CS3, 180R, and Dye DSR+? I think I read that the Field One Force V2 is slated to have a mech frame option?
shocker amp + mech frame has not only been incredibly affordable but IMO shoots phenomenal and has had zero issues for years of play now. not even mentioned is a bit disappointing to me considering brand new they are now LESS then 800 which IMO trumps 180r in BANG FOR BUCK
Just sold my amp+mech for a trade on Facebook BST’s CS3. The amp was good, feels good in the hands and all, small maneuverable frame, points well. It seems to chop balls pretty consistently, even with a 695 insert it would chop on occasion. Decided to upgrade, CS3 feels very premium, full color manual, all the bells and whistles you could ask for and shoots so damn good. Not even comparable to the AMP. But imo the amp is excellent for anyone just getting started or don’t want to drop the money cuz it is very expensive for a cs3. Amp is a very good bang for buck, takes freak XL’s out the box, easy to maintain, fast mech frame swapping. Great value
I haven’t played paintball in about 15 years and I see the prices of the paintball guns haven’t went down at all lol. Or maybe this is just one those one off super high end, I don’t know much about paintball anymore.
Making the adrenaline luxes the Best Buy in paintball history. Who knew that in just two short years the same 2100 bucks that got you a limited custom adrenaline luxe would be getting you a stock ca3 with a non matching mech frame
I regret not doing the Adrenaline luxe but still love my Adrenaline shocker. I didn't want to have the same feeling with the Freeflow Trix and I'm loving it so far
Teammates bought the trix and have already come off it. The frame swapping is such a pain In The ass and the mech frame ergonomics absolutely suck for me. The weird hump in the front is right in my way.
@@jeruncan I agree it's not as easy as my amp to swap with the luxe obviously being easier but it is easier then the Adrenaline shocker to swap. The ergonomics of the Trix don't bother me that much the finger guard is a little tight I put the flash trigger on just to get some more front to back space in the trigger frame. I'm hoping to use mine this weekend only had it for two weeks and there was that tropical storm and the other one I had to work all weekend😢
Do you think they will come out with a etha 4 with the op core bolt? Haven’t kept up and recently bought a 180r. Just looking for the latest and greatest mechanical back up gun
