CSB Large print personal size is the Bible i have in two-tone brown. CSB has become my new favorite Bible due to its accuracy and being easy to read. A perfect combination. Thanks for all your videos!!!

Today is 10/24/2022, and I just got a brown CSB large print personal size bible in from off ebay. Its the 2017 printing. I've been waiting for this one! I'm so pleased to get it!! Great bible!!

It's definitely pretty, and the size of the Bible overall makes it look as though I could just toss it into my tote bag and go. I'm starting to get used to the CSB, thanks to a solid recommendation from Bible Believing Christian. I certainly don't need another Bible, but this one is tempting.

I do like the CSB translation more than the HCSB translation. I also like that you get the different cover options listed with the ISBN information inside Holman bibles.

I bought this with a goatskin cover (vinyl paste down, two ribbons) for $55. I think the paper is a tiny bit better than the cheaper version, but the red print is the same as you indicated.

I want a new CSB that has the 2020 text update but really struggle to read red print. I'll likely have to buy Holman's CSB pew bible to get one with black letter.

I'm not a fan of red print for two reasons and one of them is that few publishers get it right. I think that's why most of them DON'T attempt red print in their premium editions....imagine having to warranty hundreds of goatskin Bibles because the red was bad

Greetings in Christ,Tim! I am visually impaired and I'm going to start a Substack blog. I wanted to use your link to show that even "normal' sighted people are having trouble with this red print edition! But then again I don't want to be presumptuous. You don't have any visual impairments, do you? Don't mean to make you feel uncomfortable; I just didn't want to be presumptuous. Basically if you can drive your eyesight has got to be 20/60 or better. Would you mind if I give a link to your video with your name in the review? I wish these publishers would just get rid of these red letter editions!

I don’t like this translation. I bought a copy because it claimed to be a compromise between a literal translation and a meaning-of-the-text translation. Then I found a verse where the NASB and the NIV render the English exactly the same. The CSB translation was very different. I didn’t spend much time with it. But it seems to me that it leans towards paraphrase.

Hey there. I would implore you to spend more time with the CSB to get a more accurate opinion of it--comparing full passages or chapter. I've been using the NASB and ESV heavily for years and recently implemented the CSB. I can assure you it's not close to a paraphrase at all. I've watched and read tons of CSB reviews (like this one) and have not seen anyone else say it's like a paraphrase. The short amount of time spent with it is likely what caused that perspective, especially if only one verse was compared. The NIV is also advertised as a "balance between both translation approaches" type of translation. But it leans more on the "meaning of the text" side while the CSB is pretty dead center at 50/50. That balance it what people love and why many feel it's quite readable. Luke 12:21 is a good example of this. Luke 12:20-21 ESV [20] But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ [21] So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.” (NASB is virtually the same as ESV here) Luke 12:20-21 CSB [20] “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared - whose will they be?’ [21] “That’s how it is with the one who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
