23 is C.....misplaced modifier. Who rose from the throne? Was it the crowd or the noble monarch? Rising from his throne, the noble monarch was cheered by the crowd, as he walked solemnly forward to greet the foreign dignitaries.

Indeed there is a misplaced modifier! Good eye! But I think the redundancies are a much more glaring error. Unfortunately, several of these questions have multiple possible errors, and so we have to decide which error is the most critical. Usually I would prioritize a grammatical error over another type, but in this case, the redundancy is just too blatant for me. But I can understand C being a valid answer also.

@@AdamWebbCSEC My concern with the redundancy is that noble can also describe character as someone having high moral principles.....not necessarily just an aristocrat

I engage in a long explanation of this question on the marathon video. It's a tricky question, but A is the better option. Consider the meaning of the phrase "sensitive to" (which means aware of) and not just the word "sensitive".

Sir for 37 would D be the answer since In the passage it said no one else was there to claim it

It's kind of a trick question. D could have worked if we didn't have C. The point of the last lines is that no one else could claim the hill because he was the one there for a long time. The last two lines emphasize the idea of time.

No the teacher is correct. At first I had thought it was A but if you read the sentence several times you will see that it is corr3ct

They mean the same, but the sentence is not redundant. It's like saying: There are many who may not have considered the need to study and learn, but education is the key to a success life. The idea is repeated so the sentence flows well so it's not an unnecessary repetition.
