Thanks for your efforts and the free plans. Two of these subs would kick some serious butt!

I really enjoy watching you build these enclosures. Your analysis is spot on and very sincere. All of your topics are of interest to me and you cover a lot of ground when doing your presentation. Keep up the great work and thank you!

You should resize your vertical scale windowing in REW, try a standard 50dB scale.

@Audio Judgement Hi M! It would be intresting to see you building a 2.1 bluetooth speaker with, for examle Arylic 2.1 amp. What to think of sensitivity/impedance in this case between the drivers? Nice courses and vids 😁

Do you have any thoughts onto turning a smallish centre speaker tuned to 65hz, into a small, portable passive radiator sub tuned to 32-38 for a DIY portable BT 2.1 speaker system?

Thanks for the video, very informative. why didn't you use RSS210HF-4? HF seems better. I'm planning to the same thing only with RSS210HF-4 and RSS265PR 10" in the 20 liters box. Do you think going with 8 inch + PR is better or just one sealed RSS315HO-44 in the 20 liters box.

Hi, is there any way to measure Vas and Qms of a random(DIY) passive radiators
@Pentenfi

Why would anyone prefer the higher tuning? I would even make the box bigger and tune it below 30Hz to get more low extension for home theater use

This is the question I also posed. "Most people" wouldn't want a "subwoofer" to only play in the ~40hz range at all - at least most "knowledgeable" people.....

Wow nice build! Have you ever tested a pa subwoofer for home audio? Thypicaly the kind with ribbled surrounds

I actually haven't played with pa drivers yet.

Hi maxim, I did try that, I have a 18" dj subwoofer in my living room, connected with RCA's, for music and especially watching movies, it is AMAZING!

Hi. I noticed that in most of your videos the microphone is not picking up all of your voice. It becomes difficult to hear you speak unless the volume is loud or one is using a headphone. Please use a directional microphone, if possible. Thanks!

Nice video, thanks for that and also your box calculator. It appears that the drivers are not flush mounted. Does it matter on subwoofers? Or any other driver? Thanks
@AudioJudgement
@AudioJudgement 9 месяцев назад
There may be some difference when it comes to bookshelf, floorstanding speakers. However, for subwoofers I doubt there is any.

Hello. Please also tell me why a passive loudspeaker membrane is called a radiator. Radiator of sound? Thank you.

love this video but all that work with the MDF and u could have just made it out of solid walnut or oak

Most of the build was nice, but I would have put the connectors on the bottom of the box. Having them stick out of the side takes away from all the clean lines and final finish. Other than that it looks nice. Too bad you couldn’t get some golden brown speakers to Colour match the enclosure.

Volume (in vid) a tad low ? All PRs tuned to same frequency? Are they in-phase or out at resonance?
@AudioJudgement
@AudioJudgement Год назад
Volume is fine in my opinion, turn it up if you find it low. All PR's are tuned to the same frequency, yes. And last question, I assume you are asking how I wired the speakers. Both speakers are wired in-phase.

those dayton passive radiators cost more than the subwoofer itself

Salut !

@AudioJudgement
@AudioJudgement 7 месяцев назад
Cred ca te referi la Fb (resonant frequency of the box).
@andreiiulian5649
@andreiiulian5649 7 месяцев назад
@AudioJudgement
@AudioJudgement 7 месяцев назад

What amp did you use with this sub?
@AudioJudgement
@AudioJudgement Год назад
Dayton audio spa250. But you need something with roughly 500w at 4 ohm

I don't know why you'd claim that: "Most people don't want to tune it that low" - in reference to tuning the PR to 31hz. I'd wager that "most people" would want it tuned even lower - to 25 or even 20hz (the Dayton RS subs will easily play that low). A "subwoofer" that only plays in the ~40hz range isn't really a subwoofer at all - but instead is more like a Bose "bass module", in that it only plays in the 40hz range. 40hz is more midbass than subbass.....
@AudioJudgement
@AudioJudgement 8 месяцев назад
I totally agree with you and I much prefer a sub tuned lower. But in my experience people like to tune it higher, because they get more output from a smaller box. And I heard people say that "the port is not tuned correctly since it's barely moving any air" (port tuned at 21 Hz). That sub was playing linearly down to 20 Hz, but since many tracks don't have 20-30 Hz notes, it seems that the port is not doing anything. I might be wrong, but this is my experience, that people tune the box higher, not necessarily for the right reasons.
