Cube World in 2023: (slightly) better than you think 

apparently the creator is making cube world omega which is more like the alpha version

@@BlookBS sadly he is making the exact same mistakes. no comment on previous actions, blocking all feedback, and building it in a vacuum. if we don't see any kind of alpha or feedback system, im willing to bet my life its just going to be another piece of abandonware when it releases in 5+ years

lowkey good idea and if he made the game have multiplayer pvp with leaderboards people would've had a reason to grind

@@kihec007 it feels scummy. I've been a witness from the start when the game was first released. I was super hype that morning but he wasnt expecting the amount of people he got buying the game. So the shop was crashing all day. I got lucky and was able to buy it that day but yeah he made a small mistake and like every game dev, got shit for it. Its not good but its not world ending. Well when that happened he soon after left. then hed release screen shots on twitter a few years later talking about new quests n stuff. people were hype again hey hes back! then silence, until the steam release where everyone was like ok yeah sure and he was like yeah see new stuff! Then rightfully so everyone fuckin hated it because he gutted the og game everyone loved lol. So he goes silent again and now is making a new game thats the same game but old leveling system? Hes the definition of a scammer even if its not intentional. The only way I and many other people will play this "new" game is if its free

@smallbonesrs it is very weird indeed, I think it would make sense for it to just be an update, not a new game entirely

@@kihec007 for sure, an update would be completely fine. People are holding out false hope for him making this release free for those who already have the game. He already did that once and when he did he announced he was going to before hand. He hasn't done that yet meaning he doesnt want to mention it knowing he'll get backlash.

If he is listening to us then why has he disabled comments? Why has he ghosted us for almost three and a half years? Why has he ignored everything on Twitter and steam? Why hasn't he updated cube world on steam?

@@everythingpony Maybe he is just a recluse person and does not feel comfortable with so much communication, so instead he just focuses on working on the game.

At this point, he can take his new version and shove it. All he's going to do is release it broken, get massive amounts of feedback about it and then disappear again. The Cube World community has fucking Stockholm syndrome. Also, by the time he releases this "Omega" version, Hytale will likely be out. That will have mod support and tools, hundreds of hours of gameplay, actual building mechanics. Why would you even bother with this shit?

Don't worry, it also took me about 20 hours to figure out how to zoom in and out, but it's really simple. Just hold CTRL and scroll with your mouse 👍

this, big time. the skill ceiling was infinite in the alpha, a lvl 1 character could theoretically kill a lvl 50+ enemy if you played them right. in the 2019 release all of the gameplay feels sterilized, esp rogue man... my god how they gutted rogue

@@itsraventm to be fair to him he’s a single dude trying to do what he feels is right but in the end he pushed a bunch of people away. Honestly, it’s probably better this way for him to have alienated a larger audience. He used to go on hiatuses forever over the criticism.

@@DylNewman But thats literally what caused the problems we see. He is not a child, hes a grown man and made mistakes and has the chance to right them but needs to learn from the past to let his community- who have financially supported him only to be burned- give constructive criticism on his process. The worst thing you can do when making something for a community is block them from your process.

Well, BattleBit Remastered, too, was made by a mere three people. Largest selling for a month upon release and very frequent updates as well.

I played veloren quite a bit but I didn't like it as much as cube world tbh. Im sure it'll get better as time goes on tho

But it lacks content its just a big ass world with barely anything in it which makes it feel even more empty
