Troubleshooting these old square bodies is still a lot easier than all these modern laptop screen dash vehicles. And ultimately you diagnosed and repaired the problem yourself. Congratulations 🤝

I actually didn't know that existed. Have you had any issues with the vacuum pump that also fakes out the engine vacuum going to the TH400? Mine (like most) is leaking and the transmission shop I use spent two days but somehow got the system to make the transmission behave.
