Modulator valve leaks are very common on the TH400. Fortunately, they are also very simple to repair. Check it out! For more content visit: burnoutsandrotorblades burnoutsandrotorblades
I had the same leak on my c3 corvette and replaced to o ring, but it still leaked a little. So, I slipped another o ring on it just above the first o ring and slid it up to the ridge that the bracket holds in. Problem solved. If yours is still leaking you might want to try that. 🖖🏻
hey, appreciate your video... I have a 84 cucv m1009 and it pretty much shifts too late from 1st to 2nd... what would you recommend to get it fixed? should I either replace the valve @ the injectionpump upwards or "decrease the screw" at the modulator? ... thanks in advance for your advice ;-) best regards from germany
I've been battling this same thing in mine. it just shifts too hard and late. I am looking through vacuum leaks and adjusting the valve to get it right. Make sure you dont have any vacuum leaks because that will make the modulator ineffective and you'll have a hard 1-2 shift at high RPM.
