@Simply Maplee because it uses a electric company cooler rather than a frozen basin or ice/salt....you can finish one batch and throw in another right after without loosing cold
I went from a £30 freeze bow, machine off Amazon to this machine. I have used to once so far and will ue again over the weekend. I have only just got it. I can the icecream from this machine is so much creamier and smoother than from the cheap machine i used to use. Such a great buy but defo treating myself because £300 aint cheap at all
I just made my first batch. I used a bit less than the recipe called for so it wouldn't overflow. I went 40 minutes. This was just right I guess because it was just starting to overflow the top mixer bar/paddle (I didn't want to make a huge mess). The consistency is a bit thicker than shown here. Mine is in the freezer now hardening a bit and ready when I want it. I will try different ingredients next. But remember, don't add a bunch of stuff and have it overflow the top and get all over the machine! Unless you don't mind a big cleanup job.
Nice review - you mentioned you were going to try sorbet with it - how'd that go? Cuisinart's other ice cream makers expressly say frozen yogurt and sorbet on them and this doesn't... it's probably a dumb question but I'm new. My #1 use for this will probably be dolewhips which might be in the sorbet category 🤷🏻♂
I made some about 2 months ago...we packed the freezer to the brim to try and outpace inflation price increases for meat...the unintended consequence of this is no room for home made ice-cream :( But it still works great. I obvsioulsy do not use it every day, but it works every time i use it.
the freezer bowl is solid so as long as you just use a wet rag is should be fine. Kep in mind sometimes people do not measure the amount of cream in their batches of icecream and it overflows. Dont dunk it under water or anything, but hot water on a rag should be fine.
@@Reviewsandmore Oh wait sir, another 3 Question Sir, 1. Is it fine and do I need to still use it with a warm wet soft rag that has dishwashing liquid or paste mix with and after cleaning it with Diswashing liquid or paste mix, I clean it again to remove the dishwashing liquid and paste with just warm wet rag only? 2. What do you mean, Warm wet rag, like a normal temperature wet/water without heating or like a heated water/wet to a warm level temperature? 3. I read the manual, before putting it inside the freezer, cover it up with a plastic bag to avoid freeze burn, I assume it's a large ziplock plastic bag, but for now I don't have one, is it fine to use the pastic cover that came with the box and machine, to cover the machine? I'll just spray rubbing alcohol in and outside of the plastic to disinfect it before using it and putting it inside the freezer with the bowl, or the plastic is already clean no need to spray some alcohol on it. Will that be fine using it? Thank you.
used almost all heavy cream...very high fat content which means it does not freeze hard like store bought ice cream. The stuff you get in the store is usually majority milk with added fats. This was pure heavy cream.
Nice and simple video. Thanks for sharing, bro. Sadly these are produced in China (i.e., not built to last) and most likely from exploited child labor, which of course disheartens me. It does amaze me that they couldn't include a metal paddle instead of plastic. But the latter is a minor quibble I suppose. I am oscillating between this and the Musso Lussino (made in Italy and upwards of $600, though). And to anyone reading, please use grass-fed dairy, as it is much healthier (less inflammation because of the essential fatty acids) and the cows are happier too. Have fun and enjoy life everyone.
Not built to last? Tell that to everyone that has owned Macs for 12 years or more! Had it been built in the USA, like the F35, it would fall apart on first use! In the UK, this comes with a full 5 year warranty. I’m not sure that it has the same in the States, probably not, because the US is notorious for poor warranties on products. If you live in the UK or Europe, you have far more consumer rights than a US citizen, since profit is the only driver in the US.
