This one is very nice, lots of attention to every detail Just for comparison last one I did for a guy was every bit as custom and went for $4K...took 2 weeks and a lot of hours. Not many people willing to pay for the time it takes to build a custom flatbed let alone the price of the steel so not many welders even advertise when we hear things like.... Pshhh I can get an aluminum one for $2500.00 (yes but with crap welds and thin material that will eventually easily dent and bend looking like a beater within a year.) Response to that is....good luck go get one. And honestly, even the $4K was not worth the time considering the price of the steel was over $1500.00 alone without markup. Some guys may be willing to do it cheaper, but will the quality be there? One gets what they pay for in the good "ol USA.

Not selling my welding setup unless someone gives me a ridiculous offer. Even then I would just build another one.

It will vary majorly depending on location/currency/ how much steel you regularly purchase or can reuse from previous projects. Maybe $500-2000

I have the bed bolted down to all 8 of the factory box holes with 1/2" bolts and then another extra set of brackets coming down right under where my 5th wheel sits with another 2 bolts per side going horizontal through the frame. 5th wheel was just bolted directly to my deck because no room for sliders. Used 8 1/2" bolts. Towed my 5th wheel all over the place through mountains fully loaded with no issues nor has it shifted at all.

Yeah was thinking about doing some work to it when I put my welding bed back on.

Its underneath facing down, same as it was on my other deck. If I mount it facing backwards there is to much strain on the plug because my trailer is soo low. Think I'm gonna do an axle flip on it.

Only put that bed on to see what it would look like and test fitment, might throw some paint on frame when i put my welding bed back on.

It's the same width as the factory dually box, I just have big wheel spacers and wide tires.

Never built a wood deck before so wanted to give it a go, see how it turned out and if I liked it.

Cummins life looks good just curious because I thought you were gonna put your welder and toolbox on it and thought it would break

Don't worry it will be back on the truck in no time, I really like the new deck but I like having all my tools with me.

Cummins life the bed looks great it just didn't look like it'd fit it daily needs being a welder but with your skill level I'm sure you could build on your new one, love the vids by the way

Also are you going to put any tie down hooks on the side of the bed?

Didn't really keep track just worked on it a bit whenever I was feeling it. The sides are made from channel so don't need any tie downs on side, straps just hook underneath.
