In this video I go over the progress on the Cummins swap up to this point. I cover everything from power steering, wiring, exhaust, firewall, and clutch. Lots of information I hope it helps! Please like and share with your buddies
Excellent video, love the intro. Your underrated for sure. Glad i found you on here brother, itll be a huge help when i start my build this winter. Thanks!!
When he said that , I wanted to leave. I came to see if I could get any ideas or things I missed on my swap, it was my first Cummins. I couldn't care less what he thinks about genders. It's something I never in my sixty some years thought or had to think about something that doesn't effect the way my truck runs. What's the fuck are you worried about such crap? Make your truck run great.
@@SQUARE_ATC that's my name on RU-vid. I'm an old person. Why you young people are talking about shit that never involved you. Trucks don't care about genders bs. It's his channel. I don't have to watch. I said I came to learn. Gender doesn't have anything to do with my Cummins. Does yours????? Your afraid of chicks with dicks?? He is.
@@SQUARE_ATC I see someone got ride of my response to you. It said something about the videographer being afraid of chicks with dicks. What's up with that? Cancelled for opinion? Hahaha
Looks good. Should call it the orange crush. Might have to leave sk. And swing into ab when my oldsmobile diesel delete it done and dialed in. Just need a hanger bearing crossmember and ill be driving it.
Would you by chance know what it takes to mount the Chevy NV4500 to the Cummings? Thanks. Awesome build, I'm planning on 88 Chevy OBS 4x4 dually project.
They didn’t tell your motor, the rubber insulators on the frame side are what would’ve done that. In an early video I explained how to modify them to keep that from happening. You can actually fix that problem even with the engine still in the truck but you will have to have the engine lift it up so that the wait is off the rubber mounts for a few days
but if you swap a 2wd truck and use a 47re transmission instead of a standard......it should clear the original hump right? I'm converting a 3/4 ton suburban to a 12 valve but I'm going auto and using the dodge ECM and harness with a 47re.
I am dropping a Cummins in my 88 square crew cab. It’s 2WD automatic. Do you think I will have to adjust firewall any? I plan on using the summit racing mounts. I know I will have to address transmission tunnel. I can’t remember if you said anything about it in other videos.
Got an 97 5.9 and 5 speed. Putting it in an 85 wester hauler crew cab, will i need to just get the different ujoint for the trans yoke to driveshaft or will it need to be shortended or lengthened?
Amen brother an I know ya Chevy guy ain’t no one get like brick nose fords Cummins swap them like to see choices lol god bless brother love from Kentucky
@@samstrucks ya im just saven up some more money for the swap. Since i found your channel i will definitely be calling or emailing you to pick your ear for the swap when it starts
What did you do for your oil pressure sensor? 😄 If you covered it in a video lemme know which one. When people ask me how I did it when I'm done I'll definitely tell them with your videos haha.
I'll be glad just to hit 1,000 lol . I'm by no means a videoer or an editor...to many years burning welding rods and hanging steel. But I hope you make it Sam . God will provide all your needs ti his riches in Glory
Nobody on RU-vid does the complete conversion only bits and pieces example the fuel tank what did you have to do? Did you have to box the frame I’ve got a 1966 C 20 Chev stepside I want to put first GEN Cummings in do you think I have to change the crossmember to a suburban crossmember in order to get the motor mounts to fit? Should be fairly easy I have no. AC or power brakes lots of room run electric fans…. Any help would be appreciated. Love the video. and you’re absolutely right. Keep the wiring simple and neat. Great build
