this would’ve been the game if the people kept rushing the developers, i’m happy the developers made the decision to actually put the time and effort in to make the game as amazing as it is today

I'm not gonna lie, the early sounds are hilarious! I'm glad they changed them, though. Sounds more cartoony that way. Best change was deciding to have a light white color when the bosses were getting hit instead of a strobing red. The red is far to distracting and seizure inducing. EDIT: now that I think of it, I wonder if the sounds were the way they were because it was too early to have made/rendered good sound effects? Most of em sound like a person making random noises.

2:35 is honestly my favourite sound effect

The Parry sound effect is weak as hell. Glad they stayed with the loud one.

The cuphead at 8:16 looks like the cuphead now in the over world wot he had a big head and body last time

i think they improved 10 fold on the game in general, like just looking at the finished product compared to this there really is a world of difference. Im glad that we got the product we enjoy today

Junkyard Jive was playing in the tutorial because we all know that the tutorial was harder than the robot.

I definitely prefer the final HUD design, but can we appreciate the cleverness of the fact that they made it a face in this version? With the eyes and nose as the HP, and the teeth as the Super Meter! Very clever!

Midi music, "Too too too too too too too" coming from the guns, map Cuphead looks more chibi than usual, old smiley-face HUD, Mugman's walk cycle stuttering when shooting while moving, no flip animation for the hourglass... Yeah, I'd say they made the right decision to delay this to add more polish.

It looked and sounded much different! It's interesting, but I prefer the final version.

Every difference I noticed - Inkwell Isle One was Different -Inkwell Isle One had a different song - Cuphead's house was a cup - The house was just a tutorial, you couldn't talk to Elder Kettle - Tutorial was different - Player 2 couldn't move in the overworld - Cuphead overworld sprite was different - You couldn't select the difficulty - Captaon Brineybeard said 'Ahoy' instead of 'Enter' - Captain Brineybeard (Captain Silver) was in Inkwell Isle One instead of Inkwell Isle Three - Captain Brineybeard song was different - Sound effects were different - HP and EX/Super hud was different - You started the game with spread shot (and peashooter) - You couldn't reviver the other player - Death screen was different - bosses turned red when you hit them - The Root Pack song was different - Cuphead and Mugman used to do a little spin after using the Super 1 - Ollie (Onion) didn't exist - Wally Warbles used to shoot this thing that I don't know the name instead of bullets - Wally Warbles song was different - Airplane normal EX attack fired several missiles in several directions instead of one large missile in a straight line - Wally Warbles mini birds desing were different - There was no pink mini bird - Rumor Honeybottoms was in Inkwell Isle One instead of Inkwell Isle Three - Rumor Honeybottoms song was different - Cuphead and Mugman ghosts turned pink when they died in the Rumor Honeybottoms battle (probably a glitch)

I think the sound was worse because they kinda sounded like placeholders

Changes I could find were the hub,the music for the hub,the music for captain brineybeard,using an early version of wally warbles theme. Sfx,like shooting,parrying,knocking out a boss,and others sound like a person made the sounds and some are missing completely

It’s really interesting to see how much of the game was already pretty much solid to begin with.

I kind of like the cute chibi map Cuphead, even though I think the finished version looks much better overall.

I kinda wish we got the original music tracks. Mind you, the final release's ost is utterly fantastic, don't get me wrong. I just love the more chill pace of the original score from this video.

I’m pretty sure Brineybeard’s fight here uses the track from the Wally Warbles fight in the final version. That, and the music sounds a lot like MIDI.
