Yea the same thing happened to me, though I had 2 S ranks, so maybe one S rank equals 2 A rank grades to get 2 strip mode.

Jonathan Roberts Technicolor films like Gone with the Wind or The Wizard of Oz used a 3-strip system. I believe the colors were red, blue, and green. There actually was a 2-strip version that Technicolor experimented with in the 1920s. They wanted to perfect color in the 2-strip system before making the jump to 3-strip. The 2-strip Technicolor system was missing the blue dyed film and only had the red and green strips. A famous example of a film with scenes shot in the 2-strip Technicolor system was The Phantom of the Opera from 1925. They shot multiple scenes from that film in 2-strip color, but only the Bal Masque scene still exists in color. There are also a couple early talkies from the early 1930s that were fully filmed (and still exist) in 2-strip Technicolor, Doctor X (1932) and The Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933).

You're wrong, technicolor during its beginnings in the 30's used red and teal as primary colors, hence two strip technicolor, it was cheaper and simpler than 3 strip technicolor which got more common in the 40's onwards. Some betty boop and looney tunes cartoons were filmed on this method

Before three-strip Technicolor existed, there was two-color (often mistakenly called "two-strip" like in this video) that used red and green filters, without blue.

I've beaten all of the run 'n gun levels, and got at least 5 golden boss flags, but I still didn't get the filter. The fork, even after I've added 2 golden flags to my collection, keeps saying that I'm "almost there". I'm really confused.

You need 15, not 5.

I mean, they put so much work into it, the devs even remortgaged their homes, its an indie game and they didn't put any denuvo to ruin the game, so yes, it worth pay them for the work, this way we can hopefully have more similar titles like this.
