Definitely seeing the changes in the behavior of your hair. Its response to water and smoothing is nice to watch. Please would love to hear your thoughtful response about your hydration journey thus far. Right now I am also still in the corrective cut phase though it has been over a year ( 1 year and 2 months to be exact) and I still feel like my hair is "short" which it is but also like you said when you do your own hair and see it everyday it doesn't always look like it's growing as much as it actually is. I am trying not to be discouraged by my short hair since I like big hair and putting it into a puff. It started out as a super short taper and so now its just a short taper trying to be a bob.
I feel you about wanting to wait I also have been loving doing twists with foam and wearing my hair up in a puff ( my preferred style). I have been really itching to try a headband wig puff in the meantime while I cope with styling limitations due to the length of my hair. If you share any of your feelings of that, that would be so encouraging too because it's hard trusting the process after 1 year and 2 months my hair has definitely changed for the better but I struggle with my hair also not growing down but more out. I feel like I am still growing out the weaker and damaged oiled and buttered hair and it will take year 2 or likely year 3 to see the results I really want to see. It's hard to wait.
Hey Lady had my second visit to hair salon ~ all going well ~ but I can’t get over the prices 1st visit $340(around Easter)- 2nd visit today $200.00…. I was told each visit will be 200 ~ my next appt is in 10 weeks ~ my husband said continue but, This is my last visit……. Are paying these kind of prices??
Wow! Nearly 30 years ago I started wearing locs. Cut them this year. But the wash and styling was 30.00 they went up to 45.00 due to my length. That was after one year. On that day I began styling my own hair. My locs flourished and were beautiful. I cut them because after 3 decades, I needed a change. Now to see the pricing on natural hair maintenance … I’m flabbergasted! I will always do my own hair. I’m pretty good at it too, at 200 bucks a pop + tips Whew! No ma’am. I have the hooded dryer, products etc., best of luck to you on your hair journey!
She said it was because my hair was more hydrated. Previous visits she used Papaya slip and bamboo Ginseng. She has never recommended I create hold for my hair.
The cut looks great!💜 Yes the hole/disconnect is there but it will grow out, and your hair has grown a lot since the beginning of your journey. The hydration progress is so apparent. It's very different watching you tight wavy girls hair respond to this method. I'm a tight coily and sometimes I get a tiny bit jealous watching your waves sit stretched out where they are put as compared to my coils springing back up a few inches. Don't get me wrong I love my hair, but my coils be acting like springs.🤣 🤣
