I loved from blood and ash! It definitely does get slow for a bit but I feel like it picks back up. I think you’d enjoy The Serpent and The Wings of Night. Lightlark also has a very good twist.

I don’t know how anything can ever top ACOTAR for me. It makes me emotional how much I love that series and all the characters in it. I’m glad I read Fourth Wing first so I could enjoy it for what it is. But ACOTAR is my heart. As corny as it is those books have saved me. I don’t think I’d be in the place I am if I wasn’t reading those books during this very difficult time of my life.

The Blood and Ash series was so great! (I actually got my husband to read them too!) You’d probably like Armentrout’s other series, Flesh and Fire. I think it might be a tad bit darker??? Definitely loved Poppy and Hawk, etc.. 😊

Read the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare, and if you love it, then read the Last Hours series by her, too!(: she’s great at giving us the angst and plot twists and romantic drama

I’ve not read this series but the flesh and fire series which I believe is either a crossover or comes after blood and ash is really really good. I’ve also just read the bridge kingdom and the traitor queen and those two books had me hooked!! Then there’s the serpent and the wings of night duo which also had me pretty obsessed xx

i bought the essence pretty peach blush last week and i loveeee it as a topper for any matte blush (tysm) but then I saw they had one called rosy rosewood and ofc i had to get it because pretty little liars and oh my god- it's my perfect natural flushed cheeks with any makeup look or minimal (just spf,tint and lip liner) looks. LOVEEEEE!!! 😇

The best book i've ever read is 'The Bad Girl', a novel by Mario Vargas Llosa, and I can't recommend it enough! The characters are so well-developed and relatable, and the plot is full of unexpected twists and turns. If you're a fan of novels or you are looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this is the perfect read for you. Trust me, you won't be able to put it down! 🤗

The best plot twists I have ever read were in the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson, holy cow, it had me gasping and I’m just in awe the entire time with how he keeps pulling fast ones right under my nose, he is brilliant!

Holly Black's Folk of the Air series(starts with The Cruel Prince)! I HIGHLY recommend! I have read the first 3 books of the From Blood And Ash series and I loved them. I really need to read the rest.

Blood and Ash series is definitely better than it seems- The more other books I read, the better they end up being. Definitely would agree it goes down hill after book 3 (mostly just book 4 wasn’t good to me) but the world building definitely picks up as they go on, and book 5 is basically just book 1 from Hawkes POV and a bit new info thrown in which people don’t like, but it was interesting to see the other side of things.

A Shadow in the Ember by Jennifer Armentrout is fantastic. As well as the second book A Light in the Flame. It is the story before From Blood and Ash. But I’d recommend listing to it on audible. Seraphena is the maiden and was chosen before she was born to uphold a deal her ancestor had made. She has to honor this deal in order to save her people. Part of that deal is to be the consort to the Primal of Death. Check out the series, look up the reviews but it’s an addicting series. Audible is the way to go for this one. Also, Powerless from Lauren Robert’s is great too.

I just finished the 4th book in the blood and ash series. The second book was by far my favorite! Books 1 and 3 were on par imo then kind of downhill on the 4th book, but I was still so sucked in because I needed to know what happened!

I love love the From Blood & Ash Series. I am on a Soul of Blood & Ash. Also highly recommend the prequel series A Shadow in The Ember is the first one. If you plan to read them, there’s a suggest reading order between the From Blood & Ash series and the prequel series :)

So I read From Blood and Ash before any SJM book and it’s actually the reason I got into Romantasy! She knows how to write characters and romance and tension for sure. I agree about the world building, and that seems to be pretty standard in her books. I read the prequel series to From Blood and Ash (which I actually liked more) and I’m currently reading her new book Fall of Wrath and Ruin which I think you’d like as well!

PLEASE read one dark window and two twisted crowns (the shepherd king duology). I am begging you. I also love sjm and those books feel as sophisticated/immersive. Loveeeed them. I liked that duology wayyy better than fourth wing, six of crows, fbaa, cruel prince, powerless, etc. :)

Kathleen!! So happy that you're loving FBAA!! I highly recommend looking up Jennifer Armtentraut's reading order to incorporate the prequel series - in my opinion (and a lot of others) the prequel series is even better, even though I love FBAA!
