Nerdboy, you hit everything on the head, and I agree with you 💯💯💯!! However, I am absolutely DONE with Wildcard, Snailgames, and the ENTIRE ARK franchise. I will NOT give them another penny for anything they put out and definitely not these micro-transactions and "premium" mods. I had over 7k hrs in ASE. I uninstalled it when ASA came out, and im probably going to uninstall ASA. I'm done with Nitrado, and I refuse to spend any of my money with these shady, money grabbing, lying businesses!
I'm seeing more and more that Wildcard has it's hands tied by Snailgames, as it seems they can't do anything unless Snail allows them and Snail is just a money hungry Company that only cares about it's own pockets. One look at their financial reports shows that. Wildcard originally tried to do a good thing when ASA was first announced and then Snailgames squashed that. Everything since has been all Snailgames ideas.
It wasn't in the patch notes. People said it's fixed but no save button so basically people crossing their fingers and hoping they won't lose hours of play.

Glad I never bought ASA, with 6k plus hours on single player on ASE I didn't fall for the FOMO to buy again for the same game with less maps, ragnorak is my all time fav even when it was just a mod. The island wasn't that great, so I didn't fall for the hype. I bought Skyrim 3 times and yes Skyrim VR was worth it. But I was smarter then to rebuy a game I already had for just a reskin
I downloaded a mod on single player and it pulled all my loot from every structure I own. Lost all my cryopods for some reason… then I lost ALL my loot except what’s on my body. 😢😢😢😢
Arks first bad move was sunsetting official servers TWICE. That pushed away 80%+ diehard #1 players. I was one of them. I played since day 1. It was my favorite game but now I play No Man’s Sky. RIP ark it was amazing and thank you for the good old times.
On the one hand, the most broken game I've ever played. In the other hand, the most brilliant game I've ever played. I think Butch said it best "I'm always getting sick when I play ark" lol
I think it’s amazing the game honestly I don’t care about official servers and I hate the island so I mean I can make my own map that’s all that matters to me but I do want to say one thing is I was hoping for school dress to come this month because I literally want to throw my money at the game I want to buy the oasis so I literally got angry when I looked it up and seen scorcher wasn’t coming this month because I was ready to buy the creature and I play PE servers so it’s not for PVP it’s not for anything like that not overpowered or not heck I probably be playing by myself mainly the only times that I can play with someone is my friends and I doubt they’re gonna buy earth. They said that if scorcher doesn’t come before the center I’m not paying for that thing cause I’ll be a lot of servers so I’m probably just gonna be buying it myself, but I don’t care I’m buying it because I want to sky base I love sky bases I love the mod where you could have sky bases once on PC I think with the it was called what is called let your thing float up I don’t remember the mod I don’t get it why everyone really cares and really mad that he’s mad aren’t coming out I get that they shouldn’t say it if they’re not gonna do the deadline I get that part but you have so many modded maps out there that is better than scorcher better than all these other garbage trash trust me these maps don’t compare I don’t know if you guys actually play them or not but they do not compare and the RU-vidr talking about downloading mods for the event. Those are awesome. I love it because that means I can use it on any map and not just that, those mods you can use them even when his over did you know that I mean wild card tell you to delete them because they implemented in the game that’s just the stuff that you use the mod for but if you keep the mods in your server, you get to play with it forever that means killing those bugs constantly so you have love bug hearts for next Valentine’s Day when they add new stuff when they update that mod don’t get the possibility as a mod and I do love how the new dinosaurs are because I’ve been playing the new well a new modded map and you can get it to the Gigante raptor on that map. Yes, the spawn are a little wonky because not created for that map sometimes in the water sometimes you know but because of the mod it allows you to play on mod maps or play onunique new maps Lexi escort her center all that comes out you can play those mods like the giant giant. The guy giant the giant raptor on the center where you guys wanted it all along. You guys voted for it. You can play it on the center you just downloaded.
Not sure why people were excited for TheCenter map, when it was first released for ASE everyone called it TheIsland 2.0 Its the same environments, the Shastasaurus was the big pull for that map, but for some reason i think there will be one of these adventure packs added to TheCenters release, and the Shastasaurus will be the Oasissaur for that map. Osasissaur is P2W garbage, all the nickel and diming of its shrinking player base (look at steam charts). Updates focus on just server stability and not actual client stability, so yah the servers are getting fixed, but if i can't play the single player version, i won't be doing the multiplayer either. The entire point of ASA was a graphical remake with minor QOL improvements, if i have a 5k$-10k$ that can run any other Unreal Engine 5 game at max settings and it not crash every 5-30minutes... its not me, its the game. You won't say it Nerdboy, i will i have been in the ARK community since ASE was in pre-beta, i have purchased everything associated with Wild Card including Atlas... ASA is dying, WC/Snail will probably become insolvent by end of this year, if not sooner.
Everyone being excited for the Center shows how bad ASA is actually doing in terms of perception...Because I have heard the same thing for veteran players.
You mentioned great points. My issue with it is that after almost a decade of the Ark franchise, Wildcard hasn't really improved the way they do things. Their project/product managers have the wrong priorities and it shows. More people are playing ASE not just because of the lack of content in ASA, but also because of the performance side of things. Instead of implementing performance optimizations, they add mickey mouse cosmetics. Like seriously? Do they really think that people are gonna come play the game bc they can look like mickey mouse? They claimed that ASA is built on a new code base, yet it shares many of the same issues that ASE had. They said that The Center is coming out in February, only to delay it even further than Scorched Earth. So you are telling me that it has a delay of at least a month and they didn't know until less than a week before the announced release date? The players that were around in 2015 or something have stopped trusting Wildcard a long time ago, now even new players know that they can't trust anything Wildcard says. They need new managers. Yes, Snail Games is trash and plays a huge part in this whole mess, but so do the managers within Wildcard.
I don't think Ark should die, I think it should be traded over to a company that really carries about it. I feel like an English teacher who has that one student that turns in there essay a couple days late, and clearly wrote it in an hour with no proofreading to make sure it was quality of writing. 😔 sad so sad
Good vid but could be me but the audio was a bit on the low side .any who I feel like console at least ps5 doesn't have that many problems at least for me issues started after the removal of manually save but everything ok now and the ryno thingy was there since day one I know it ☠ me I was what was that n I was happy for new creatures
That is super weird. My friends are also on PlayStation five PlayStation five not having issues just like the Xbox series X into one. I wonder why PC and the lower end Xbox is having problems
People saying ASA is no different/better than ASE are lying to themselves. Joined ASE in 2018 and have lost +100 hours singleplayer saves at least twice due to updates deleting them. Launched maps that crashed constantly. Instead of bitching about delays of DLC's think of the reason for the delays. I'm sure Wildcard (not Snail) wants to do better with launches as they do seem frustrated with the way things are going. Do check up on the reason for events/dinos launching as mods. It's because it's easier for Wildcard to update a mod instead of having to send a small DLC for review to Xbox and Playstation and wait for their approval. This way they can fix bugs in the mod and have it run smoother before sending it to XB and PS.
I didn’t fall for the high be there. I only bought this because I get to play with my friends on any platforms and I’m rich why would I care or you throw my money at it and I won’t lose a dime but say that I bought it so I can play with my friends because I don’t want to buy a freaking PlayStation five or a PS4. I want to actually play on the Consol that I enjoy a thing that I enjoy, and honestly out of them just being very bad at making their due date if you make that bad specially if you guys can stop whining about mass that everyone has already seen him play the modded Mabs maybe you would actually enjoy it and not have to worry about oh when is this come back out? When is this coming out? When is that coming out but those are not really big and she’s like Xbox can’t save in their stuff. How do I get a friend that’s on a PC PlayStation to create a map for ya and save it there I’m just saying, only Xbox getting ISU
Its definitely different...and at times the game looks great! I have lost time on ASE but the console command save world really helped that. I do understand why they changed the events to mods, but I liked it when it just happened...lol..I may be just a little lazy.
Its like you all don't know who wildcard is... its been like that ever since they brought out ASE lol. when they say it comes out tommorow it will probably come 6 months to a year later. Ark is done and everyone knows its done. it sucks but its their own fault.
My Xbox has been saving better but you still run the risk of it not saving correctly mine there was times it would lose hours of time there were times it would save when and where you were but you would lose your inventory and your dinos inventory and it didn't matter if you world saved or not. Now as long as you world save it seems to save okay but I feel like you shouldn't have to admin save your game to keep your game
If you have a friend that has Legger another consul, like me up, PlayStation or PC, create a world with him and all that because clearly I don’t know what’s going on on the Xbox is dealing with that issue. PlayStation is not and I’m on PC I never have.
I had lost time on ASE on my first play through, however, once I did the console command Saveworld, It was a lot better. Do this on ASA, however, I am not sure if that is helping or not.
The problem is, while WC is very creative, they are completely incompetent at programming. Add to this Snail Games is completely incompetent at money management. Together, this spells doom for Ark.
I think there are more console players than you may think, lol my girl uses an Xbox Series X and the game runs great! My server runs great and for me the game runs great! People in general are complaining about almost all games! Also, most people do not have next gen hardware, and this is an issue that has nothing to do with ARK! For ARK and cross play is a lot cheaper vs a good GPU at the moment. Console players and all servers do not show on steam now vs ASE the servers and players do show, so I am not worried too much! Haters will hate AND I'm in till the end lol still breeding dinos on the island!
Ark needs to die. Wild Card continues to fail developing this game. It was a great run, but all things end. It outgrew Wild Card and even Snail Games. Sell it off, or close it down. To continue like this is ludicrous.
I'm done with ASA. I wish someone would do what Palworld did and make a new "Ark". I was expecting a completely revamped Ark with new dino skins and all the long-term issues resolved. I have 3400 in ASE. All my tribemates and I were excited about ASA. From dropping the game with zero hype and no notification, the same Dino skins that feel out of place in the new enviroment, to it having the same and more game-breaking bugs, and the majority of players unable to play the game. I am done. I have watched people with the best rigs struggle playing ASA. I would not have a copy if a tribemate did not gift me one. I cannot play it. I was going to upgrade my computer thinking it was time for it, but I can play almost all the new releases still, just not ASA. All my tribemates played the game for the first month then quit because of the unoptimized, buggy mess ASA is. For now, I switched to Palworld. I was not a big fan of Palworld with the cartoony visuals, but the game is so much fun and intuitive without all the unnecessary grinding. I will be following and playing Palworld as soon as new content drops. I always thought Ark should make the creatures you tame help you with the grind. All my tribemates are adults with lives so we cannot spend hours a day playing and grinding out things on Ark. Palworld devs seem to listen and value their players. I have hope the game will get better as it goes, unlike ASA. I have little to no expectations and hope that they will optimize ASA and fix the bugs. The fact that you have to add a mod to have a new creature is wrong. If you add it to the game; add it to the game. Please someone make a survival game where you can tame dinos play pve or pvp. We will all love you for it and reward you with our loyality.
OK first off it’s not 60 bucks are you smoking crack is not even $50 is 44.99 that’s not even close to 60 with tax that would probably range around $46 for a little bit higher. I don’t know how tax works I’m not really good at that. I bought it when it first came out on PC so I didn’t buy it for any of that price but yeah, I can agree that other than wild card making terrible decisions. I just can’t agree that you said it to 60 bucks in a new coat of paint. No not even close and people are not buying it fixed because it has a new coat of paint or because of my supportpeople are buying it because he can play with your friends on a different platform to the cross platform. Are you an idiot? that’s the reason why most people buy games because they want to play with her friends and they don’t wanna have to buy it a consul that someone else has. Honestly I hope every game can’t cross platform because I don’t want to have to spend my freaking money on a new consul every year just to play with my freaking friends and that’s why do you buy this game now because of a new paint job but I will buy a game because it looks beautiful. I don’t care how it runs does to me beauty is everything in a game.

OK yeah it’s no official maps but you have plenty of motors that are making beautiful maps for arc that no one is even trying or playing everyone so worried about seeing the same garbage that they seen six years ago or whatever how long ago I think came out 2015
i think they need your sense of business practices on their team lol. well, on wild cards team anyhoo, snails are a bunch of tight connected cliques of money grabbers. snails pay wild card a minimum to produce these things while being understaffed, overworked and over promised (and i am going to guess that the wild card leaders are employed on a low wage low experience basis). and the "exclusivity" to nitrado really did help some of the nails go in. there is a future for this game, and it will probably take as long as it took the ase version to bring to fruition. but it will probably have to market to a newer audience than the old school players and that means better promotion too, something i doubt snails can accomplish. as of now, it will gain "cult classic" status, the question is can it become popular again as some cult classics have. we can only wait and see
I mean, honestly I’m an old school R player. I’ve been playing ark since the game onto game pass. When the older came to game time but that’s when I started I don’t mind this art. Honestly I think it’s stupid how people are crying about scorch earth in all this because I don’t care. I seen them already and in the water great night at maths out there, so why would you worry about playing this trash when you can actually play some good moderate mass.
