Well a current update and a local touch a truck show turned into a rescue mission on a Saturday. Seems like it’s always something.

Several years back I was at an airshow, there was a C17 there and the pilots were showing kids around randomly. I just happened to be up in the cockpit looking around when two kids come along and I head the one kid say to the other "I bet I can press more buttons than you", neither pilot was there at that time as they were talking to the moms. I just shook the one pilots hand told him good luck and walked away, I saw the pilot later and he told me there is what is referred to as the "airshow preflight procedure" laughing he told me it is a lot more intensive than the already intensive start procedure. He said you wouldn't believe what kids wind up getting into. Lessons learned the hard way I guess.

I love the idea of a bunch of cool trucks and equipment for kids to check out. I used to be (and still am) fascinated with watching excavators while they were working. If my mom was in a hurry , she would take the route with no excavator distractions. Lol.

Well done Clint. Had to laugh at the irony of slinging off at the Sany, and what came to the "rescue" ?? - haha, great vid with all the team. I'm sure there were a lot of small boys went home buzzing at being able to climb all over a pretty unique truck. PS. Hope you got your lawns done !

It’s good to see you teaching your boy how to drive a standard and it looks like he does damn good. It’s becoming a dying art. 45yrs ago I learned on a ‘74 Ford P/U with a 3 on the tree with wore out linkage, probably the hardest standard on earth to drive, with good linkage. If you didn’t go from 1st to 2nd just right it would lock up between gears, then had to crawl underneath, fiddle with the linkage and unlock it. Aaaaaahhh the good ole days. Nowadays if you asked a thousand people under 40yrs old I bet you’d be hard pressed to find 1 who could drive a standard.

Thanks for the entertainment. (Although my other option was to go out in the shop and keep chasing a hydraulic leak on the backhoe, and it's 95 degrees in the shade right now). Also for Kevin, that's my kind of luck, 12 trucks in the yard and if I had to pick one on a weekend, I'd always choose one that something would break on.)

Thats Andy Yoder's stock car. I went to School with him. It is an actual stock car he made street legal. I believe it is a Dale Earnhardt Enterprise chassis.
