Fixed! Like another person mentioned in the comments; Disabling the USB Touchscreen Controller resolved my problem with the mouse pointer/cursor jumping to the top right corner (Control Panel -Device Manager - Mice and other pointing devices - USB Touchscreen Controller). I found that with the USB Touchscreen Controller enabled, the mouse pointer would flicker erratically whenever the lid was moved back and forth, so there must be a loose connection or exposed wire in the lid’s hinge.
I was able to stop this, but only by going into the Device Manager and disabling the Touch Screen. Yes, that sucks! Especially since I LIKE using it for detailed graphics editing. But it just started doing this today, 3/4/2018. Once I was able to FIGHT my way into my Surface book and nav to the Device Manager (hit WindowsKey + X > DeviceMgr to open it) I expanded the HUMAN INTERFACE DEVICES category. Then I scrolled down to 'HID-compliant touch screen' and right clicked to choose DISABLE. I don't know WHY MS has TWO of these same drivers from 2006 installed with the exact same version number, but I had to disable both. And while I was there, I also disabled the touch pad, since I rarely ever use it. I did try disabling the touchpad first, but that didn't help. The jumping around only stopped once I disabled the screen.
Thanks Dian, it works. After disabling all 3, I enabled the touchpad and the 2nd touch screen. Thank you for sharing it. By the way I am using Surface book too :)
I have the same problem. My mouse is the Havit HVMS745 and it will sometimes work for 5 seconds and slowly move to the top right corner of the screen and then I will not be able to move it though the left and right click seem to work fine. If any one has a fix please tell me.
