I really thought the curved walls are bloody from hell, but then I saw your shirt and for me my inner world goes restless down... thx a lot for that experience and your video as well.^^
I have to agree it seemes quite suspicios that EA randomly decided to add curved walls, I still believe that the Paralives version of rounded walls will work much better tham the sims 4 one
For what it's worth: I don't think you're complaining all the time. The complaints are legit. I really don't think you're a negative person, EA just needs to make better games.
^^this. every “negative” thing you say ab ts4 is valid and wouldn’t even be necessary if they weren’t so focused on cranking out content regardless of quality/ functionality
"EA just needs to make better games" all of their games are amazing just like any other game there will always be some flaws and bugs, but EA is doing their best to fix the bugs yall are just ungrateful
@@ManuelEstrada-t2m They just keep pumping out broken content. You’re calling us ungrateful, but the pack that was released in February is still totally broken in July and still being sold at full price. Dine Out’s restaurant system, the entire system the pack is based on, is still incredibly broken and it’s been out for years. Its not just glitches, which are to be expected, it’s entire game breaking problems. It’s sad and a slap to the face to gamers who’ve been playing the Sims for years, decades even. How can I be grateful to a company that doesn’t seem to be grateful for me? They would have gotten nowhere at all with these games if it wasn’t for people like us, the people who see the true worth and enjoyment in the game. They need to do better and that’s just a fact.
@@Scarylyn14 I get what you mean but the sims has already addressed that the will be doing fixes on some of the expansion packs just like they did with spa day but people have to understand that fixing load so bugs and glitches is a lot to do especially in the sims plus they could fix the curved walls sims never had walls that are curved and so its new and it could lead to glitches yall are judging the base game so much when it couldn't even be permanent
If I hear “you should be thankful” one more time, I’ll bite my fingers off. NO I’m not thankful for something that should’ve been out years ago, I got it now and it doesn’t work properly. If someone gives me a rotten slice of bread shall I say “thank you”?
That logic of thankfulness is absurd. This is business. We’re customers. They’re selling us a faulty product and then gaslighting us into thinking we need to be thankful. It’s not a labor of love-they are getting paid.
@@blossomedsims9413 yeah but unlike the sims, paralives is taking their time AND adding new features we’ve never seen in a life simulation game thus far.
@@blossomedsims9413 paralives are taking their time instead of rushing the game out to make sure there are no glitches/bugs. EA/The sims team could never at least for sims 4. I would rather wait for some time for a completed non glitchy pack or game instead of getting a bugged one
@@blossomedsims9413 any game will have glitches, but we can see that paralives is taking their time to create their game unlike EA does. they are also a way smaller company (Paralives) so it makes sense if they have glitches. EA is a huge business who has been making games for decades and this is what we get.
I love u for this comment. I only take seriously SatchOnSims, Plumbella, thesimyin and FGG cause they do not sugarcoat things, they're fair where they gotta be fair and harsh where they should be harsh. I do not to disrespect the others but they have a posititivy that, to me after all these years and all that piece of shit, is unjustifiable. It looks like they turn a blind eye for some reason. I always liked positivity but I prefer honesty.
When I saw the new update I immediately thought, well, EA must have heard of curved walls in Paralives... I hate the mindset the Sims community have (majority)- be grateful that this/that comes as a free update. Meanwhile, Evil Arts, gaslighting everyone into buying more DLC.
Have u not seen what else is going on this is just a small part of it now the games broken peoples sims. Keep aging up and dying randomly and wont stop bc of the update and lots of people cant even play their games bc how laggy and buggy it became bc of this update
I see it exactly like you with the updates. The updates may be free, but the game that's attached to them costs a lot of money. You are allowed to have a certain expectation. Sometimes I think it wouldn't be so bad if for the next Sims game they would use a normal standard engine that has been well developed over the years and with which the developers have the necessary experience, instead of always messing around with these sensitive bug-infested custom engines from EA...
Personally, I am a sucker for your "complaining"; you are my go to Simmer when I just want someone to tell it like it is! And your humor and sass is brilliant, I love it!
You are voicing many true and legitimate complaints that we all have against Sims 4. I have decided not to buy any more packs and I rarely play it anymore. I love your videos! You are awesome!!!! 🤗
I saw one of simmer Erin's videos about quality control and it looks like a lot of it's been outsourced to other countries and it also looks like the amount of people doing the quality control has dropped from earlier packs. Now that you mention birthdays, when I played last night, and I play on long lifespan, I had two birthdays that I wasn't expecting. One of my children aged up and then randomly in the middle of breakfast my toddler aged up. I just thought I'd lost track of time, but now I'm having my doubts.
I was able to figure out that the aging bug only affects saves from the current patch version (1.90.358.1030) of the game any game you start before that patch don't have the bug, but once you save it in the new patch version it doesn't keep the sims age level at all. I was able to load a older version of my save from 2/27/22 and the age information was not changed, Once I did save as and reloaded the game the age bar jumped up again. I am still looking for a work around.
I should also mention Normal lifespan works as intended, however as a rotational player that isn’t an ideal option. I tested it with a new game with aging turned off and the age bar still jumps ahead.
I only take seriously SatchOnSims, Plumbella, thesimyin and FGG cause they do not sugarcoat things, they're fair where they gotta be fair and harsh where they should be harsh. I do not try to disrespect the others but they have a posititivy that, to me after all these years and all that piece of shit, is unjustifiable. It looks like they turn a blind eye for some reason. I always liked positivity but I prefer honesty.
I don't think you are being a Karen at all. Your comments are completely justified. I have never understood players who get angry about constructive criticism or anything said negatively about a game that we have all spent a ridiculous amount of money on. The fact that EA releases broken and empty gameplay is downright disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves.
i like how from the beginning of the video the focus is on a peen building. i was actually so keen thinking sims was going to have paralives type curved walls not a fkn platform (before the update we had this already and now they just put some windows & doors that can go on it). i want the freedom to make curved ones one wall by one.
This is why I wasn't excited when they announced they were adding curved walls. I knew they were gonna be glitchy, because the curved platforms are already glitchy. Initially I was looking forward to getting the high school pack & now I'm not anymore. Every time we get something new, this game becomes virtually unplayable. It's so frustrating & it feels like a slap in the face.
Honestly, I’ve said it before and will say it again. I don’t feel any of the packs are worth their listed price. Only thing on TS4 I’ve paid full price for is Tiny Living. Even the base game I got for only £8.79 on sale 😂🤷🏼♀️
i literally give you. i’m 18, been playing the sims for over 10 years now, and ive had enough of it now. i FINALLY had enough motivation to actually get my moneys worth and play the game for once. i had to reload my game, and my sim i played with for 10 hours straight aged up 😑
YES for the Paralives comparison. As soon as I saw the Sims 4 was attempting curved walls after all these years, and after Paralives showcased theirs, it was obvious to me that it was an attempt from the Sims 4 to stay relevant. But their game engine is apparently not as powerful as Unity, so no wonder why their curved walls came out broken.
"I expect it to bloody work", well said. I'm so tired of the RU-vidrs that keep saying "it's just a tiny little thing, it doesn't matter", and even apologizing to EA for mentioning that "tiny thing" in their video. In my new build, I spent several days trying to fix a buggy roof to no avail (2 bugs known for around a year, and it's a rather simple roof with a dormer). And I came across this video trying to find a workaround for a glitchy platform. All in all, after almost a week of building, I've only got a shell done.
we don’t think you complain. The sims 4 team just needs to do better and actually release content that’s not broken. How many years have this game been out ?? And still buggy and broken lmao
You are NOT a Karen lol. But you are right. I'm a very sympathetic & empathic person but we should not be getting broken items for a game we paid money for. If the developers had worked even harder before the base game was released they wouldn't have to work as hard to give us broken unfinished packs and updates today. I think if they had pushed the base game and fixed that mess we would have had a way better game today. And I thought I was the only one who spotted EA and Maxis being shooked by Paralives that they took the curved walls idea from them lol. I'm so happy The Sims is getting more competition. On a positive note I love your videos. We need simmers like you with a platform.
So you can’t just freely use a tool to create round walls? It’s 3 types? That’s dumb af. You finding bugs and being honest isn’t mean.. it’s truth and the sims team need to do better. Sims team have been stealing ideas from paralives for a while. As soon as paralives showed their stairs… sims 4 came out with updated stairs where you can customize them lol. I’m happy paralives is around because I do believe half the features we have now in sims 4 wouldn’t be there.
I think they need to roll back a bit on the art design side of the team and bring on more technical positions. We're getting alot of nice looking things that don't work and they don't seem to have the numbers to make sure things work as well as real, full, integration with the rest of the packs. Like, to me, it feels like theyre literally trying to distract us with pretty shiny things to hide all of the jury rigged nonsense underneath. People say "Oh, EA isn;'t giving them enough money", but they recycle so many assets and animations that I feel they can afford to reduce the side of the art team and bring on more techs. Gotta make the best of what you have when its your job and your product costs more than the pc it runs on.
Also you cant do curve half walls. Then if you decide to do one side with a curve, good luck trying to make a roof for that unless its a complete circle.... I had to use a fence on top and make like a roof top cause I couldnt use any roof nor half wall....
EA has been looking for a buyer!! The top companies in the running to buy EA are Apple & Disney! EA is making a boat-load of money, so if they're working hard, they need to work harder so they don't release BROKEN content!!! I am so sick of it!!! I've invested (YES The Sims is an investment) a ton of money in this game! The fact that it's not physical disks anymore makes it even worse, because they're still charging a ton for the games!!! I'm with you Satch!!😘❤️🔥
That’s why I stopped playing sims 4 also.. waiting for mods to then get updated and add them all back in (the ones that got broken) was painful and a chore. I do play on console though so no mods.. but I play because I achievement hunt so it’s not really the game keeping me interested.. as soon as I get 100% achievement completion I doubt I’ll play sims 4 “for fun” but maybe more will happen by then to keep me playing. Wants/fears is interesting so far though.
While I agree with you that sims would be better off if they hired people to do testing... this is such basic testing they should've be able to find themselves without their customers (!!!!) having to make social media content to point the bugs out.
Um, no, Karen's expect unreasonable exceptions be made for them. What you're asking for is to pay for a working product and that is perfectly reasonable and, quite frankly, expected. It's not like you opted into a beta version of the update and are complaining it didn't work.
I am with you on this one. Not usually one to complain but there is a ton of stuff in the game that does not and has not worked as it is intended for a LONG time. I think the team feels pressure to release new content regularly and clearly cannot keep up with what they already have. I do not get a lot of the glitches people complain about, but I get some. Hendford on Bagley, for example, it completely unusable for me much of the time because it has a weird lag they said they fixed but it now appears at random there and in other worlds. Dream Home Decorator, which was a pack I was actually excited for, barely functions, and there are too many small issues to list. For the cost of the game, I also expect it to work properly. Glitches are one thing, but leaving them unrepaired is another thing completely and it is unacceptable as far as I am concerned. I will be a Karen right along with ya babe. lol. Okay, rant over.
Satch, your complains are VALID mind you, those who said that you're a karen or negative they're all just a mindless consumer who licks ea boots and rarely play games. Honestly, "broken during release" sims is not the only ea game that have that problem, hell.. even most recent AAA games HAVE that problem (I'm looking at you cyberpunk) it seems like this trend is happening ever since the no man sky redemption story and devs thinks they can get away with buggy release and "oh we're sorry we promise will fix the game soon"
I was so exited for this update, after month's i started sims 4 again and ... got severly frustrated. Will probaly not touch this game again for month's ... Even the want's and fears are just one nuisance. My sim is CONSTANTLY scared because he had this fear about his job. When i got rid of it, a few days later it came again. And other fears who just make no sense. It's just so annoying.
Your complaints are legit. Happy that its free, but yeah it seems like it's only for builders. The walls are so buggy and so little items fit that there should be a challenge to make a fully curved hosue
I know it seems like you’re complaining all the time, but like, literally what else is there to do when these are all very legitimate issues within a game that costs hundreds of dollars if you have even a half decent amount of packs and comes from a triple A game development franchise. I don’t understand why anybody expects you to kiss EA’s feet about giving us the bare minimum in a constantly broken state. They think you’re complaining too much, well I think they need to start complaining more, every sims fan deserves so much better than this they need to develop some better standards. Like we are fully allowed to enjoy the game as it is but let us also complain about the actual problems because there are plenty and they are inexcusable. We’re literally asking for the bare minimum but just NOT BROKEN.
Diasabling the combinations that make things look a little glitchy would be so much worse. Obviously having a feature that actually works would be better, but I'd rather it let me do things that can look a little glitchy than just have those options completely disabled
I was so excited for the high school years pack but man all these bugs are so disheartening. It’s like every time they get us hyped for something- something always goes wrong
I was done with curved walls when I tried to have a simple curved room (the whole room being a circle, basically) with 4 connecting rooms and it was just….literally impossible. The game does not allow for it with the platform differences and it also did not allow me to scale the room down in a hassle-free way.
The habit of releasing things broken then maybe fixing it later was exactly what some people worried about when they said Sims 4 would be a live service. Let them tell it, it's better this way and they address things quicker as a live service. They try to paint a lot of the things that they do now as better than how they did with the older games, but in most cases I just don't see it.
I live in Argentina and both base game and dlcs are very pricey.... The Base Game alone costs 3673 pesos which'd be around 30 US dollars. Each Expansion Pack costs 7400 pesos which turned into US dollars is around 60 i think? Game Packs cost 3673 pesos too so also 30 US dollars And lastly Stuff Packs cost 1835 pesos which turns into 15 US dollars... Now if someone wanted to get all 12 Expansion Packs together they'd have to spend almost 100k pesos (750 US dollars), same with Game Packs and for Stuff Packs 40k Pesos (300 US dollars)......All together it'd be 250k pesos aka 1900 US dollars for everything!.......I have to say tho there's been some involvement of the government to make everything more expensive however prices are still set by EA
Withholding popular build items & functions just show in hindsight that they don't care whether the game works or is playable, only what they can incentivize..how else will they get people to continue buying their crappy game/expansion packs?!
quailty control do think they did make cuts. Im not sure on that those I cant remember which youtuber pointed this out it has been while. Dont feel bad critiquing the game has a lot of bugs.
It's the fact that *every* time they add something. Or update something. Or release a paid pack... It. Doesn't. Work. .... Ever. Then modders have to fix their crap. Or just make a change to the mess they made. Like that murphy bed that basically had a 100% death rate... Jesussssssss
this shit quality control will never happen unless we have laws to lawsuit then, i do understand minor issues like graphical bugs and things that still let you play the game are less priority, but any game bg that prevent you from playing the game you paid for properly like the aging up bug should get a law suit.
You're right and you should say it. Their updates are a mess. Only reason I bought 2 dlcs is to feed my need to play simulator or build when i crave it but the moment paralives comes out bye sims hello good game.
I'm at the point now, where I'm not buying anymore sim games till they sort their crap out. If we all refuse to buy any more of their games, till they fix the massive amount of bugs they created. Maybe, just maybe they will take notice and get their fingers out and fix all the damn problems.
I've loved the Sims for as long as I can remember. My father bought them for us and since then we have never stopped using them. Until now at least... The team of Sims will work well, hard and as much as you want. But paying the kind of money that one pays to get the packs and DLC's to find bugs, glitches and weird things... it's not fun. There comes a time when you end up feeling a little "scammed". In fact, not only did I stop buying packs and DLC's, but if I want to buy one, I not only review the contents like crazy, but I go to RU-vid to seek the opinion of others who already have them. I refuse to continue spending a fortune on something that drives me a little crazy because of how poorly it works. In what world is it normal for mods(CC to work better and look more original and elaborate than the options of the game itself? I don't know, it's sad to see how it's going downhill when it has all the potential in the world to be the best human simulation game.
In no way are you being negative at all. And this was quality tested; by these RU-vidrs who are now called the "EA Creator Network". They have been literally test playing because they had early access. You can feel grateful for something but also criticize parts of it.
