The Sims 4 Infants Update Is Here... But It's A Little Glitchy lol 

As the owner of a real world infant, I think the reason you can't discipline infants in game is because it literally does nothing for a real 6 month old lol. You can say "no" or "oh dear God, don't pull that over you'll die!" As much as you want and it does no good at this age. Could also be that ea just didn't want to deal with it. We may never know

I'm sooooooo disappointed we don't have base game changing tables! Seeing them being used in the pack, I just assumed those items were base game or had base game versions while everyone was showing off the pack versions for better styles/swatches. It makes no sense (outside of EA greed) to not have a base game object of it.

Props to single moms, this is traumatic

The baby cas is basically what they have out for toddlers.

I saw from James Turner's channel that if you ask the adult from the infant's perspective vs the adult trying to do the action themselves with the infant, it's less glitchy. I don't know why.

The only glitch I’m having since the update is that my adult sim now refuses to cook anything other than in the microwave 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Drgluon and James Turner did the 7 infant challenge on their respective channels. Drgluon's caregiver sim actually died lmao. James scrapped along by taking advantage of the nanny and the free-loader Kyle. He also discovered that it is easier to control using the infant than the adult sim, as the infant's free will will override whatever actions you have queued up on the caregiver (and this is by design). Overall, I like that infants are difficult. Just like in real life, it's usually 2 parents to 1 infant (plus extra help from grandparents or aunt & uncles) to make it work.

Infants are so difficult to care for. It's been so difficult that my toddlers getting sad because she's not getting enough attention, but it's difficult with a baby that constantly needs to be put down for a nap, is constantly hungry, and is constantly shitting her diaper.

Stollers and changing tables are the absolute basic necessity for infants.. It definitely should be in the base game... But there will probably be a stroller kit or something like that coming soon -.-

This is what I like about contents from non-game changers. They are unfiltered, they are unhinged, they are not afraid to show the glitches/bugs with each update or newly-released packs. I already updated my game but I don't have any plans of touching it yet until the modders are done in updating the mods that I use in-game. Kudos to you Satch ❤️

Satch! The high chair is not for getting the hunger up lol 😂 it's just for trying food as enrichment. You have too breast/bottle feed them for the hunger need 🤣🙈🤷‍♀️

Honestly I’m so happy that infants are out that I don’t really care that it’s glitchy I’ve been playing with them since 14h50 and it’s glitchy but really fun

My game broke so hard, infants were doing the stretch glitch and kept canceling interactions. I really hope more patches come out!!!

Thank you for bringing up the fact that changing tables are ONLY on the expansion pack. It is SO GREEDY, honestly. Im really hoping its an oversight. They are literally matching swatches to base game furniture sets and they made it a pack exclusive?? I havent watched many other simmers videos but so far no one mentioned it ... (Edit: Plumbella mentions it). Plus the expansion so far, to me, seems quite disappointing, not gonna lie.

they changed the height of toddlers to compliment the infants more but while they were resizing the one why couldn't they make the teens smaller than adults 😭

My guess why we cant scold the kids is because they’re so young and wont understand 🥰 arent infants like less than 1y old? Scolding a baby doesnt make sence to me 🥰 Love the video anyway! I agree not having change tables and some kind of baby carrier in the base game is shady. What if you have an infant and a toddler? Isn’t there even a nappy bin?

This new pac fade away my baby fever. My sim (single dad with twins) spent literally his whole day taking care of his crying babies 😂. Also I had the same glitch with the tasks.

Just so everyone knows( learned this from a lilsimsie video where she read the actual update article thing released by EA) the high chair does not increase the hunger need for infants. It’s jus a gameplay option. You have to bottle or breast feed them for hunger.

I kinda wish the babies were a bit smaller, they’re basically the same size as toddlers to the point it’s hard to tell the difference at first glance

Cant wait for modders to make them look more like babies and less like toddlers just shrunken

The crib does upgrade to the toddler bed not the other way around 😂 but you can just buy the toddler bed too if you want

The glitch that I’m experiencing is they all have occolt eyes like the vampire eyed or just really broken eyes

I'm more excited for the glitches we can't see just yet. The biggest glitch last time was aging up after exiting cas, who KNOWS what the sims 4 spaghetti code will do with this update.

Is anyone else struggling to get the baby to actually go in the crib? It glitches and the baby lays by the crib.

I'm pretty sure you can "clean" infant without having bathtub. At least it worked that way in my game, when they do some animation similar to changing clothes but with bubbles around. I found it under "taking care of a baby" category I guess on new pie menu. 😅 BUT it is ridiculous to see how many glitches you experienced.. ridiculous. I bet you got "Special Satchonsims" update as a revenge 🤣

3:29 in so i dont know if u realise later on but u can turn cribs into toddler beds for 50 simoleons

it's still extremely glitchy! my Sims keep taking toddlers out of cribs when they want to sleep, putting them back in and taking them out repeatedly like 20 times whatever action I give them to do, etc. thought getting a nanny would help but no she also just keeps glitching with the infants :D

I found when I had two adults with infants to be so annoying as the other adult would stop what I told them to do to look after the infant the other adult is holding and then nearly caused the infant to be taken away, it was painful

I don't think the stacking of interactions is a glitch, it reminds me of the Sims 2 I think it was, where you'd get a interaction stack, holding them would be one and then feeding them while holding them, I think it's because they can perform actions while holding them? Idk though

I had an awesome glitch where my sim just more or less started bouncing the baby like a basketball

You can convert a crib to a toddler bed, you just need handiness level 2. Some glitches are due to mods or cc.

I appreciate the update but I'm still such a hater because I just don't understand this life stage. It's a toddler but worse? To each their own I guess! Maybe far down the future in 2050 they'll add in pre-teens (with DLC of course nothing is free).

I saw someone say their entire save file was just reset. All their families and houses, everything. All jokes aside it really is a slap in the face and it’s not okay

Mine is so glitched it wont even feed the infant. They place them in the highchair, take the spoon and baby food out, then they freeze in place. Baby's hunger doesn't go up either 😭😭

My glitch was my game downloaded get to work, I never payed for it 😂😂😂

I haven't experienced any glitches. Only thing I'm upset about is there are no changing tables in base game & there are no bins for the diapers. Which ultimately forced me to purchase growing together.

I don't even get why this is the life stage they chose to update tbh. I thought tweens would be better, I find it weird how they go from looking about 7yr to looking basically like an adult lol. The baby to toddler is way less weird, although I do think the babies needed to be more realistic and interactive

Poor Shanice- 3 Intense Infants at a time seems mean. LOL. I'm honestly surprised by how glitchy your game was. I yanked my Mods folder out completely and started a brand new Save then played for something like 4 hours yesterday. Other than sims not always listening when I would tell them to do something (which has been a problem since Day 1) I had very few issues I would call bugs. I only played with one infant in the house though. The diaper on the floor issue is kind of dumb and I really wish they would have made the changing table base game instead of sticking it only in the expansion, but the same thing happened in Sims2 if you changed them away from the changing table so I wasn't really upset about it. I just grabbed them myself, as the player, to toss them in a garbage can. I do that with random plates and bottles let all over too though.

My sim's infant kept glitching in the weirdest ways. It was hilarious 😂

my biggest issue is the bloody diapers and bottles just going straight on the floor, like why do they not just automatically take it to the bin 😭😭 i was trying to raise twins and i wasn't paying attention then the entire floor was covered in diapers and bottles

im so terrified to load the sims with my mods enabled to see what is broken because before the update, I spent like 2 weeks getting all my cc and mods back after I installed the Sims 4 in a fit of rage and I need cc and mods to function. If all my favourite stuff is broken I think I may cry.

Am I the only one that doesn't get why this life stage has been created? Toddlers were enough for such a very young age...Maybe a pre-teen stage would have been more needed since child to teenage stage is so radical since teens look very similar to adults. But I don't know...

The diaper changing table not included in base game is almost like no toilets in the base game.

I honestly hope someone makes a mod to get rid of the infant life stage. Between the glitches and intensity of game play, I'm not looking forward to playing with infants.

If I remember correctly in sims 3 you had to purchase extra dlc to get a changing table as well. It wasn't in a pack but it was in the sims 3 token store thing. It's been a long time since I've played and I also wasn't the best at navigating the game so I may be wrong.

I don't understand why anyone thought they wouldn't be glitchy as hell... just toddlers glitch when Im trying to put them in the high chair. My sims keep taking them out putting them in putting the food down then picking the toddler up again. This looks like a nightmare. Sims 4 is done.

Respectfully, you don't scold infants. Children have no concept of right and wrong until they are a minimum of 2 years old. When someone is scolding a baby, they are literally just being mean to a baby. And while it may relieve their own adult tension, the baby only feels fear and insecure. They don't understand that they have upset you, just that you are unreliable. So there ought not be an option to scold infants. Infants just need you to take care of them, even if they are being a pain. You are the adult. You can control your emotions, they just got here.

"The pinch" icon is to feed the baby... ^^;; If you hover over the hand icon it says, "Feed baby." It's not pinching the baby's cheeks.

This has been happening in my game with toddlers for quite a while. I was hoping they would fix it once the infants were released. If you do it from the childs perspective it works. I have been playing from the Child's perspective for so long. lol

One of my glitch first minute playing was that the infant full on got stuck on the mums hip. I had to restart the game.

I kind of wished that the infants shared models with the toddlers, kind of like teenagers and adults; would be easier for wearing custom content you’ve already installed for toddlers, prior to the update. A lot of cc I’ve seen for toddlers looks as though it was designed to look like something an infant would wear, but, of course, the infant life stage didn’t exist back then.

It's getting far to real to life, down to the glitching... what all parents do LOL

I dunno if you’re guna do a gameplay series but I am all for it if you do. What’s it called when you’re a Sims YT who is tight with Maxis? Where you get free stiff or early access etc? You definitely should be one and they’re missing a trick. Your truly honest opinions combined with your personality actually make the Sims fun even with all their problems, and I am not against buying things of I know all the problems and limitations but it has things that I want, and your uploads let me know that. Other YT Simmers tend to paint a false picture of what you’re getting in the past. Anyway, dunno why I’m going off like this. Basically I hope you get it one day if it’s something youd be interested in.

My only glitch I'm having is my toys keep disappearing every time my infant is done playing with one. I've checked all the inventory spaces but they just seem to be gone. Only the new ones that came in the update though.

I'm disappointed by the lack of parenting skills you get from interacting with infants - after a sim 24 hours with my infant, I only gained skill while breast/bottle feeding.

what's worse is that in the pack one of the changing tables matches the colorful kids furniture set, and one of them matches the wooden kids/toddler furniture set. reminds me of my first pet stuff, you have to buy the pack to get the full furniture set. disappointing.

they gave us baby wipes as decor in the base game but no changing table 😭

I think the new infants look too similar to Sims toddlers, and I was expecting them to look more like babies. I haven't gone back to the game since January, so I'm scared what the update will do to my game and cc.

the first time i played with an infant, i could not get it in the crib, it kept attaching itself to the parents foot, i tried moving the crib, getting a different crib, making sure the crib wasnt touching a wall, but i could not get it in the crib

I am honestly bothered by glitches. I would have preferred for them to finish the darn product before relising it. It takes already a lot of time to do stuff in the Sims and considering everything if those are the glitches it will ruin my tile of gameplay
