All you need now is a stiffer rear sway bar for that major Torque Twist your getting lol... which is awesome! Other than that.... ... .. . Maybe a Futaba 7px with more channels for all the Amazing, Genius work that you do to add more features to your trucks. AnyWayz Bro, AWESOME Work man! Please, if possible, can you do more videos on welding up R/C Cages and any other Chassis goodies?!?!??? Thanks for sharing your work dude.
Wickeeeed! 5:36 the noise: The inner front wheel is off the ground, the suspension is fully extended and if you are running a semi-open diff at the front, the inner tire will spool up. (In think it is ballooning so my assumption that the diff is open or semi-open.) The only torque that drive shaft sees is from accelerating the inertia of the wheel&tire plus friction, so at constant speed, there will be only minimal friction and the drive shaft is more likely to be "slack" but still at the very steep angle of the suspension. Maybe that conspires to create the noise?
Goddamm dude, SICK ass setup for real. I wish my yeti rode as well as that. You need to start your own rc company because people like me would buy up all your store stock and I'm pretty sure everyone in the comments would do the same. Nice job man for real.
I would check to make sure the axle is happy when the suspension is in full droop, it seemed like the sound was only happening when the wheel was all the way down, could be a pin rubbing in the u-joint.
I love how the suspension is super soft and how much body roll there is, its like its a real trophy truck lol. But it looks like the shocks have no rebound you should probly go w some thinner oil or give the springs some more preload
This is a masterpiece and who ever can dislike this Man? Great great work I bow down🙇🏽♂️🙇🏽♂️🙇🏽♂️ Let me know when you build one to sell!!! I'm kidding, I guess I can't afforded it greetings
real nice job, love the attitude of the truck already, it's already got a Justin Loftin look about it on 3s, can't wait to see it in full swing, love it! thanks for posting. Cheers from the land Down Under, love your work.
Thanks Paul! I was thinking the same thing. The whole demeanor of this truck has a controlled chaos feel to it. I love it. Once I fix those minor issues I'll be back out there rippin this thing!
"Controlled Chaos" now that's hit the nail on the head, even Justin Loftin would be proud of that title. Between you and Captain Controlled Chaos Loftin there is no hope for me. I truly love your trucks and videos, and then l see a video of Justin Lofton Racing Parker 425 2017 and it completely blows my mind all over again, not to mention the Silver State 300 2015 video, faaar out. Your own DUST STORM | MINI ZEUS, now that l had to watch 3 times to convince my brain that what l was seeing, is actually a model, particularly the way it comes off the trailer at the start, very very well done. If you want some FOX loges or vinyl cut graphics/masks in ether reverse to go on the inside or normal for outside, l would be happy to help out a fellow modeller. I have then on file for my Justin Lofin Truck anyway, probably very close to the size you may need. Cheers.
I haven't named this truck yet and that sounds pretty badass...chaos.... I still have time to think of the theme for the next body. I went with the axial over the P-L raptor because I really liked the lines on it. It looks the most realistic out of all the options. I'd most likely stay with it even if I did a fox livery.
Super cool looking rig with or without the body. Nice drifting. Great job on the build and the video. Hope you have luck sorting out the front end noise.
I'm sure you've figured it out by now but perhaps try using an MIP puck system for the front dogbone? It would put a small bit of ruber between the pins the the dogbone cup. Could get rid of the clicking noise and help the front end get a bit more bite out of the corners and keep it tracking straight for killer scale videos.
First off - nice ride man - !! As for that clicking - - I had issues in on some drift stuff. The drive shafts (dog bones) might well be rattling around - when the steering link is at an angle - you could either get some slightly longer shafts - or in order to hold the shaft in place - at which ever end is causing the clicking, I inserted very small rubber rings in the cuplinks of the drive system to space the shaft evenly- worked on some 4x4 monster truck stuff too - after rebuilds. Good luck chapper
Epic build. The hardcore hobbiest can give name brands a run for their money on designs and builds. Now we need to shrink ourselves down to 1/10 to really enjoy our trucks.
Are you on instagram man, i love your stuff, your edits and Music are dope.. remember a long time ago even some Pennywise lol EPIC... you´ve been on a long time, love it, keep it up!
Nice now just need a good sound system for decent V8 motor sounds, also an cockpit, have a look at the Killer RC kit Hemistorm used in his TT, a thicker fluid needed in the front diff.
The sound systems to me are pretty corny, they just don't sound authentic. I prefer the roar of the motor honestly. Also if you check out the end of part 4 you'll see the interior I made for it. I had to leave it off because of the diff problem.
Very impressive great build .lol and the amber that only comes on with the brakes is a bit like the truck that won baja this year .oh wait they didn't work at all lol
I had the same issue. Took me a while to realize it was the the bearing at the center diff. It blew up a bit after. Switched to fast Eddie bearings throughout.
My SC10 has that same clicking noise...Check to see if the dogbone is popping out of the housing at all if it does, put some small washers in the housing so it can’t move as far out
Nice work man. Sounded like pinion backlash in the front diff, or little piece of gravel in the spur. Hope you figure it out, 4x4 is a pain but worth it when you're trying to Rally the turns.
Yes great job on this build you should do a Justin loften body on it because the back looks like the same design. And you driving it on 3s looks like he's driving 😂
Yeah l hear you, the King Shocks Voss TT looks awesome, some great videos of it in action. Voss Motorsports WINS 2017 Laughlin Desert Classic the first 44seconds is pure awesomeness.
Absolutely love your builds. Myself i am a modeler first, r/c second. You have a great talent. For myself, welding eludes me. Your cages alone are top line models. Just recently bought a losi baja rey, although will never come close to scale modeling such as your customs, i am still looking forward to modeling it up some. Any suggestions on good after market products to look at? I have looked at serveral of our hobbyshops but pretty much only sell traxxas stuff and not much of anything else. Honestly they are more of toy stores than hobby shops. Thanks for your videos, as they have already given me ideas to work on for the losi.
I've learned to stop buying diff seals and use plasti-dip because it seals a lot better plus it's cheaper. If it's clicking when making turns I would say check your front diff because it may be slipping and not just the center
Maybe try a little silicone rtv or something to seal the diff? not as a permanent solution, but just to experiment. just make sure to let it dry. unless you think it'll affect something.
what a great work ! it looks awesome ! i know all the work needed because i built my own 1/8 monster truck with home made arc welded steel axles and i love it ! i bash this truck without mercy ! by the way : try this film high speed move at hight frames rates : i did some 120 fps filming with the hero 6 and uploaded it at 60 fps : the car is easier to follow and 25% slow motions are at 30 fps
