This week I'm showing how I'm building custom frame rails to match up with the ‪@FatmanFabrication‬ front end on the 1972 Datsun mini truck! We had to narrow the frame rails to make room for bigger rims and tires so they built us exactly what we needed. Now let's make it all come together!

Love this series! Note that extending the legs on the crossmember will make your lower control arm angle worse, not better - if I caught that right. As it is now, the inner point on the lower control arm is too low, so moving that (and the crossmember) further down is going to make the angle more extreme.

Worked out perfect. I set it up for my ride height. So at ride height my lower arms are level with the ground along with the toe rods.

I went with Scotts hotrods IFS for my 78 LUV. Just like that fat mans set up, it's a lot of work but worth it! This Datsun is gonna be killer, Ill be following along 🤙
